Fast forward to around the 10:30 mark to hear the good part of the interview. First 10 minutes is him talking about his rap career and I can't imagine anyone caring about that.

Makes a mention about how they are changing the pass scheme. Moving guys around in different spots and having guys do things they haven't do in the past.

Really sad that we didn't get to see Dez Bryant in a pass scheme that attempts to move guys around.

Says Witten calls for the ball just like Dez.

This team never used Dez the right way. When something did work, they went away from it. Especially on that crossing pattern with Romo and Dez. They tried it a few times with Dak. Maybe Dak could not make that throw, who knows. Also the slant, worked with Dez, but rarely used it.

So now they decide to change the schemes. They better put in a lot of practice time then.

WItten can do no wrong. I am sure this isn't true.

I think they used Dez right but several things changed.

(1) Dez dropped off physically

(2) The team went from a big play, gambling QB to a QB whose game is efficiency and

(3) The team has evolved from a very good running game to a potentially great running game.

With those three things in mind, the team moved on from Dez, stocked up with 2nd tier WRs and drafted a 1st round talent to plug in at LG.

Dez isn't a great route runner and probably wouldn't have been able to adjust to something other than jump balls.

I'm not sad at all because what we are about to do obviously the coaches felt Dez wasn't suited for.

It was time to move on.

No. We did. And when a game was on the line, especially last year, Dez couldn’t get outside his own head.

So I will lovingly disagree b/c I know ya, and respect ya. But Dez was a mental midget. Dude had all world talent, but never got his head to match the God-given ability.

Good riddance!

We've also kind of heard this before and then seen it fail to materialize on game days, so I'm just cautiously optimistic.

It's also just further proof of how reactive the team is. It took a near revolt by Dez, years of opposing coaches and players calling us predictable and public shaming by Brice Butler for them to realize it might be a good idea to have a scheme that isn't so rigid?

Let me see if I have this right. Romo was essentially calling his own plays against the defenses he saw. That is why it always took him to the last second to get a play off. All the movement.

Now it's they didn't use Dez right.

There are videos of Tony correcting Dez. Tony has stated over and over the 50/50 was his best route. Tony flat out says, "you

After all the people chiming in telling me how great Tony was, and I agree, now I find out he was using Dez wrong all the time he was great.

I'm sorry, but Dez stopped working. For Romo and for Dak and the team had enough.

I agree but I don't now how people think Romo was calling all of these creative plays. Romo was always given about two predictable plays.

Romo kill killed more than anything.

Cole Beasley better zip his lip otherwise Garrett and Boys will oust him just like they did Dez.

I think Beasley's days are already numbered in Dallas. I look for him to be traded before training camp ends. Dallas didn't acquire 4 WRs in the draft and free agency to just say goodbye to Brice Butler and Dez. Beasley is a free agent after the year and they have made no moves that we are aware of to extend him.

Yep, Dez's was in an out in Dallas so fast people barely noticed he was ever there. The Cowboys weren't willing to put up with it even a month longer than 8 years.
