Cole Beasley easily getting separation at training camp

Not sure if this was posted anywhere else, but here's a nice little chat with Beasley

Always liked his attitude. If he and Williams have improved, our passing game could be deadly.

OXNARD, Calif. -- To look at Cole Beasley is to underestimate him.

At 5-foot-8, he doesn’t look like an NFL player. On a field with behemoths, Beasley looks out of place. Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said he looks like a paper boy, despite the current scraggly beard.

Everything about Dez Bryant, Beasley’s fellow wide receiver, screams NFL receiver. Nothing about Beasley screams that.

But then practice starts.

So far in training camp, the Cowboys' defense has not defended Beasley. He caught five passes on Wednesday in team and seven-on-seven drills, including three straight. He caught three on Tuesday, two on Monday. Tony Romo has thrown just one incompletion on a pass to Beasley since the players put on pads.

“People kind of put me below other people, I guess, and that’s what drives me,” Beasley said.

These players all channel Jason Garrett in interviews. It's pretty cool.

Tony Romo has the most complete set of receiving targets in his career. I'm pretty excited for our passing offense this season. These guys know their routes, are physically gifted, and compliment one another very, very well. Guys like Beasley make me less worried about the running game because you can lean on him and witten for those high % completions that make up for a running game. Not to mention the respect the defense has to pay for them helps open up the box for whoever is running the ball.

We should put him wide when we play Seattle just to mess with Sherman
