I've been saying for a long time that we needed to get Cole Beasley more involved on offense, and I think we're starting to see the byproduct of his involvement in December.
In September, he had 8 catches for 75 yards, 0 tds
In October, he had 7 catches for 45 yards, 0 tds
In November, he had 8 catches for 130 yards, 1 td
In December, he had 15 catches for 170 yards, 3 tds
His Decemeber production reveals the expansion of this offense and Linehand making better use of the tools at his disposal.
Another difference has been allowing Randle to get more involved. He had 20 carries in December for 136 yards. He has big play ability that Murray is lacking. He isn't as consistent a runner, but when the offense gives him the same holes as Murray, he doesn't waste the opportunities.
It would be great if he could expand Dunbar's role in January. If he has been holding back using Dunbar to create a new wrinkle in the playoffs, it's getting close to being the time to unleash him.
Dunbar is averaging 12.1 yards per reception. That's better than Darren Sproles has ever done in his career. The only problem comes with the limited opportunities.
When speed is infused into this physical offense, we see great results. We need more of that.
