On how he got his signing bonus after signing a new deal this offseason:

“I have direct deposit, so I woke up one day and it said, ‘You have a direct deposit greater than $500.’ I said, ‘Sweet!’ It was a good morning. I was kind of panicking at first. I asked my agent, ‘I don’t even know what to do that. Do you just put it in the bank? Do they insure it for that much? I had so many questions.”

Beasley was yet another terrific UDFA find for this team.

If I was a player who went undrafted, I sure would tell my agent to try to get me to Dallas. Garrett has proven over and over that he doesn't give a crap about where you're drafted or how much money you make... it is all about who is the best player and that is all an UDFA can ask for.

I think that contract was perfect. Its reasonable, it has every opportunity to be paid in full should he continue to produce, and it allows him another contract at the age of 29 if he can stay healthy and contribute. Everything works out well in my opinion, for both the player and the team.

I've been a Beasley supporter since day 1. Was glad when he came back, and was adamant that he should start getting more involved in the offense. Couldn't explain why he wasn't being involved more, and was definitely angry early on when he wasn't even on the active roster.

A lot of people tried to argue that he was less valuable than Dwayne Harris...

Love lil Beas.
But I think many teams would take Harris--for overall contributions--over our lil playmaker.
Cole found a good home and I'm happy for him.
That's taking nothing away from Harris.

Overall contributions? He is average at basically everything he does. Easily replaced. Beasley is a much better WR, and better and faster returners can be found easily.

I like Beasley so I'm not going to diss him. And the take low road.
And most importantly, Romo like Beasley.

You're way off base with Harris, he was not an average coverage guy (led the team) not an average WR as a blocker (outstanding) not an a average PR (above average every year and top 2 in 2013) and not an average KR. (Above average every year)

He also got 7.1 mil guaranteed and 5 year 17.1 contract.

No reason to diss the guy.

Can Cole get 60-70 catches next year in the short and intermediate game to serve as an extension of the running game?

If so, do we really need to invest a high pick in a running back? Our talent on offense is so good all around, that a mid round pick could compete with McFadden, Randle, Dunbar and Williams.

I mean when you think about it, our depth at running back rivals that of any of our strongest units on the team.

All the way up until now, I've been in the draft a RB in the first mode. But the more I think about it, the more we need ballhawks on this defense and an additional elite player anywhere on the defensive line. RB can probably wait.
