I defended Romo for years. I defended Dak for years. I'm done though. That being said, Dak has been doing different things this year and even worked on the mentality bringing in speakers and others to help with the mindset (Was it SEALS?). The man is trying. Mad respect just for that.

Do I think it will make a difference? Maybe, maybe not. I just know I'm not buying in until he helps the team make it to the NFC championship game and plays well in that (likely against the 49ers). Until then? Proven choker to me. I want him to prove me wrong so badly.

His previous OC's did him massive disservices by plugging him into their systems and not making changes to accentuate his strengths and cover his weaknesses. McCarthy at least seems to do that to some degree. Will it make a difference? We'll see.

I don't get the early hate he got. Just as I don't get how offended some people here get even if you are the slightest bit justified in being a little critical of some moments as if Dak's existence as the QB (and everyone loving him) is fundamentally tied to their self-identity somehow.
