Word is he could get cut. Worth bringing in as a backup with upside? Would cost some, but other than the Jets, there are no more starting QB jobs out there.

Normally I would say yes; however, have u seen a recent pic??!! He looks HORRIBLE. Lost all of his musculature. Google it. Looks like he has lost about 20 lbs. Yeah - he has had a shoulder problem this offseason that hurt his workouts for a few months but this has got to be something else. Like he stopped taking something if u know what I mean. He looks sickly and emaciated. I'm talking shocking.

Honestly don't even want him as a backup. But I bet Jerrah would be interested.

didnt his 10 or 11 mil salary become guaranteed a few weeks ago? dont think hes getting cut

Yes.

$11.9M this year.

Colin Kaepernick's 2017 base salary, $14.5M, will become fully guaranteed if on a roster next April. The contract also contains $12M in escalators.

Nobody wants to trade for that contract and the Niners aren't going to pay Kaep $11.9M to not be on their roster.

It would amount to over $18M in dead money.
