at #9 and #23 is definitely fine by me.

Strange to see NC up there at 21. Not saying they are a bad football team, just don't often see them ranked to start the season.

I read an online article that rated the top 102 college games in the nation, and my Horns were involved in six of them, including the top rated game (UT-OU), and the 6th rated (UT-OSU)...

I'd say that's a pretty impressive strength of schedule...

Ole Miss will not live up to that ranking.

Sure they are a good team and could potentially beat anyone but you can't give a program like that any kind of high ranking because they will always find a way to flop when the expectations are high.

I know everyone talks about Colt but Texas biggest advantage this year is that their defense is far and away better than anything any other big 12 team will trot out onto the field.

Muschamp is probably the best coach in the big 12 and he isn't even a head coach.

Texas is so fortunate to have that guy.

True about NC over the past decade or so. Before that, they were pretty good...and very good (top 10ish) when Mack Brown was there.

That conference schedule is tough. Their OCC schedule is pretty lame though...but mostly not by their own fault. A couple of games were switched and they got stuck playing a couple of patsies.

I'd love to see them play (and beat) Florida for the title this year, but they'll be hard pressed to run the table.

To be honest Catch, I think you used exactly the right word with regards to Muschamp when you said fortune.
