Man have I missed all footall this off season.

Just going to say right now, I am going to miss Keith Jackson. He has been there my whole football loving life. One last time for Keith.

Whoa Nellie!

The Longhorns just crushed North Texas at home...56-7.

The Texas defense alone might just carry them to a repeat.

Next week is the test against a VERY good and talented Buckeye Offense.

GO OSU.....

I'm more curious to see how the Buckeye Defense goes against a team with more than one weapon(Garrett Wolfe, an extremely talented RB for a 5'7' lil guy) on offense. This week against Northern Illinois(Sam Hurd's school) the only one playing out there was Wolfe... OSU had a lot of turnover on Defense with their starters. So it will be an interesting challenge this year IMO.

Don't worry about losing Keith Jackson.

ESPN, in its infinite wisdom, has added Paul Maguire to their college football analyst team.

Actually, I'll miss Jackson a lot. College football is losing its voice.

And ESPN does have some quality college football people. I really like Chris Folwer as a pre-game host and Kirk Herbstreit as an analyst.

But adding Maguire?

Jackson was a shell of his former self the last few years, but the man is a legend and will be missed.

Its been a pretty good day of games, nothing earth shattering but some solid entertainment all around. It is SO good to have football back, not to mention that today I had Direct TV and the NFL SUNDAY TICKET!!! installed, so I am seriously ready for some football. Cant wait to watch USC and Georgia Tech with the upset over Notre Dame this evening. Cal is getting friggen spanked, who couldnt see this coming?

My Cornhuskers looked good today, especially offensively. They had 586 yards of total offense and absolutely wore down LA Tech by using 4 RB's the entire game.

Could've been worse if not for 3 turnovers inside the red zone by the Huskers.

A name to keep an eye on is Johnathan Holland from LA Tech. Track star with legit football skills. He made a highlight reel one handed grab for a TD pass. Very, very, very good WR.

The downside -- in 2 weeks USC is likely to trash them. Nebraska lost it's top DB Zack Bowman a few weeks ago, and it showed today. It won't show up in the box score, but Nebraska's DBs looked completely horrible.

Also, do we have any Colorado fans onthis board? If we do, can someone call them to make sure they didn't slit their throats?
