Anyone think collins will move to RT and take doug free spot this year? Especially since leary signed his tender. We could keep leary and have collins battle it out with free for the starting RT spot.

Agreed with the others. Leave Collins where he is. Dude is a beast at LG. Besides we all want to see what Chaz Green has to offer.

I know this is gonna be a shock to a lot of people ........ but the Cowboys coaching staff do not see Free as a negative.

They like Free at RT

I do too. Occasionally they all get beat. Yes that includes Zach as well.

With right tackle, you are on an island and it is more apparent than at center or guard.

If Ron Leary is on the roster this season, he will leave as a free agent next year.

He'll make great depth here, but there's no reason to move La'el Collins out to RT so Leary can start at LG again when it would only be for this season.

Collins was drafted to play left guard and that is where he will stay.
Despite Leary no longer starting he is still very valuable to this offensive line. Stop trying to push him out the door.
all the trade Leary for draft picks during this draft was ridiculous.

Doug Free is still doing a fine job at RT. If Chaz can beat him out then fine.

Doug Free is a scapegoat for a lot of fans. He had an awful year a couple years back but he was actually pretty good last season. PFF actually ranked him ahead of Collins down the stretch of the season.

He is the only older non blue chip prospect on the line as well so that also warrants him some misconceptions.

The amount tof snaps they have a TE helping him leads me to believe this is not true

Every right tackle who is not a star has TE help thought the game, of course they would like a superstar there ......... but i dont think they see it as a problem where they need to change guys positions to play.

Free is a solid right tackle ........

Only if Frees production is poor and Green hasnt developed. Then you can make the case for going this direction.

He wasn't drafted. I like Doug Free, he's the most underrated starter on offense, sorta like Mark Tuinei used to be, but you want your best 5 on the field regardless of contract status. If that includes Leary so be it.
