remind me when can they be activated?

I know that they can activate either one, but not both.
Now that Chaz Green is on IR and (hopefully) Gregory can provide help, I'm assuming Collins is the choice. But will his Toe legimant be healed enough?

Pretty sure both are eligible now. The decision is easy - Collins. We are a concussion/stinger away from Joe Looney or Emmett Cleary starting. Having Collins essentially gives us another + starter ready when needed.

Tapper simply doesn't have the same value. Even if he plays, he would only get 10+ snaps.

I agree, a month ago I wasn't so sure. But when? I haven't heard that Collins is physically ready.

They were targeting December a while ago. I gotta imagine he would be physically ready by the 1st playoff game.

They aren't coming back anytime soon; La'el Collins had to have his big toe (on his right foot) decapitated and Tapper may be getting a spinalectomy.....or something like that.

8 weeks after being placed on Injured Reserve.

But will his Toe legimant be healed enough?

Sean Lee and Terrell McClain were both lost for the season with the same injury in the past.

Maybe La'el Collins is the exception.

If he is activated, I don't expect Collins will be dressed for games, Joe Looney will remain the interior reserve G/C.

Did anyone figure out when the cutoff is for either of them being activated?

It appears open ended.

Teams have to wait 8 weeks before a player becomes eligible to be activated from IR, but I haven't seen anything indicating a cutoff date to make such a move.

As long as the Dallas Cowboys are playing football this season, they will have the option to activate one player off Injured Reserve going forward.

We already know what to expect from Collins. Plus the line is our weapon. Protect the line to control the game.

I'm worried Tryron's back injury making it through the playoffs. We have no depth at Tackle. Green's injury could come "back"(pun intended) to haunt us. Hoping Collins can heal enough to help the OL depth.

It's a legitimate concern. Even beyond this season I have zero confidence in Green's ability to remain healthy. If you believe there are some player's who's physiological makeup is such that it makes them a durable athlete, then the opposite is true i.e. athletes that breakdown constantly to injury. Green seems to be the latter.

I still think Green might get past the injuries, but they definitely can't count on it for next year. He has shown the talent to be a starter but they can't count on that for 2017. I would draft another OT if it matches up with BPA.

In the octagon give me Collins with a rear naked choke in the 3rd round

It's unfortunate, too, Cal, because he flashed some nice ability after shaking off the rust in his first preseason (awful) game. He's a player. But he's soft.

If this dude could shake off the injury bug, we have a vault of OL. I mean, we already do, but dang.

There was an article on the DAMN where Jones stated on 105.3 that they expected Collins back at the end of the month.

He definitely showed some potential to continue develop, but I just don't trust in his availability.
