Well i read some where that they tried out McQuistans brother
recently,is he any good?
He was drafted higher and was rated higher going into that draft. I wasn't aware the Raiders had released him.

Problem is he's a G in the NFL.

I don't think Free looked awful today. Most of the pressure came from everyone but his spot.

Here's to hoping he makes some strides.

Free can man the right side, heck right now I bet he could out perform Flo on the left side to...

The rest of the OL looked horrendous.

Free looked very good.

Ditto. Flozell is the one who had an awful game. He nearly got Romo killed.

You're absolutely right. All the pressure came from Romo's left. Free filled in pretty well. I'm of the belief that you have to see what some of the younger guys have. Free is a guy Dallas said was coming along nicely this offeason. We'll see if he's a keeper over the next 3-4 weeks.

Sideline reporter Pam Oliver reported a high ankle sprain.

There you go, a sideline reporter talked to a team official, and got the real skinny.

I know Free was the swing tackle, but I wonder if there's any way they play McQ at RT and let Free stay at the swing tackle. Free just seems like so much more of a LT with his skinny (for an NFL T) build... If anything happened to Flo, I'd rather he be on the left side.

McQuistan looked like an absolute turnstile in the preseason. Even against the bad competition. Unless there's a clamoring for the return of the also ran right tackle era in Dallas, I'd rather they just play Free. Even if they lose a bit run blocking, I feel good about his pass protection. I don't know that McQuistan does anything well.

THE left side was unbelievable. They put a very undersized but super quick Matthews (LB) on Flo and he ran by him ALL GAME. Well, there's the blueprint for the rest of the season: expect to see that from every team from here on out. SLOW FLO................................

It will probably take Garrett 2 full games to figure out that he needs to stick a TE over there to help protect.:(

We've already seen it.

If anything happens to Flo, LD is going to LT and Proctor goes to RG.

Colombo has 5 pounds on Free.

Broken leg= done for the year.... Free has got to step up.

That is about all that can be said. Colombo season is done and Doug Free will have to go out and do the job.

The Oline functions as a group more than any on a football team, and that really hurt the cohesion early on.

Columbo's season is not done with all certainty. The fibula doesn't carry much weight. A&M had a WR return from a fibula fracture after 3 or 4 weeks I believe. We have 7 games left....I wouldn't write him off yet. He may not make as quick a recovery as the A&M WR but the general prognosis for a fibula break is 4-6 weeks. He could be done...but I'd rather hope that he makes it back.

He can pass block well but I dont think he is the mauler that Colombo is.

As much as we pass though it shouldn't effect us.

He'll be interesting to watch.

And on top of that he is one tough dude.
