Yes, strictly lower, based on your original comments on Colombo. What did he do, run over your dog? Or did you lose a bet?

He is worth 5 million a year..... someone will give him that.

5 mil a year is the least an OT is going to be asking for nowadays

2 years, 10.5 mil, 7 mil bonus, is what I would give Columbo

With as long as it is taking one could assume he wants to play for the boys and he is in negotiations with us.

I think he's looking for a better deal than what we're offering

unless he gets a deal from someone else that totally knocks his socks off, then I can see him coming back, but Dallas is still in negotiations w/ him, or that's what was reported at least a day ago

Good point I wonder if McQ has something to do with Dallas not wanting to commit longer.

Why would that matter. We've got Flo in the last year of his deal as we speak.

Columbo has quickly become a jack-*** in my opinion.. yeah sure I won't mind if the bald-headed moron is back next year but that's only b/c I'll benefit from it.. I wouldn't mind his stupid greedy mother ****** butt going somewhere else and getting a bone shoved up his crappy butt every game by opposing lineman.. did I say shoved? I meant pounded with a 1,000 sq foot piston.... stupid greedy ingrate of a female dog head

:lmao2: :lmao:

lol although i dont agree with all of that...i do agree that he is becoming a bit of an A hole...and quickly im about to say screw baldy

It just seems to make too much sense bringing back Colombo. that gives McQ another year to develope and our staff to watch and evaluate him.

Why in the world is Colombo an a hole for trying to get as much as he can while he can? If he owed anyone he owed BP for giving him a chance. BP is gone so that reason for loyalty is gone. I do not doubt that he would prefer to come back to the boys- but with all the money that some players with no more real record of acheivement are getting why shouldn't he try?

Luke Petitgout received a 3 year contract worth $15.5 million with $6 million dollars Guaranteed, I Believe that's what Colombo's going to get, hopefully from us.

First, let me say, I think that Colombo should resign with the Cowboys,

First, the cowboys were the only team that gave him a chance, let him recover a full year on the roster, and its true that bill parcells isnt there anymore, but Jerry Jones is, and he pays Colombo bills.

At same time, the cowboys need colombo as much as he needs the cowboys. To a degree loyalty is a lost commodity in the NLF, both to the team organization and the players.

Next, to me, Colombo played good the first 10 or 12 games, till I think his knee started bothering him again, the one that he dislocated. If Colombo is willing to come in, work out get in better shape, a little stronger, even Parcells said, that colombo was the best at not allowing sacks for the team.

If Colombo was to realize that with Leonard Davis besides him, they would make a huge difference at ROG and ROT, they could open huge holes, and in long run, even if it is just a 2 year contract that the cowboys want to give colombo, in time, he will get paid even more money if he proves to the rest of the NLF that his knees are ok, and he is in better shape, etc.

While at the same time, he and Davis can maul defenses, help the cowboys get to the super bowl and win, become winners. As you all know, players get more money and notice when you go to the super bowl and win and dominate.

So, Colombo, work something out with the cowboys, get into the offseason conditioning, and get in shape for a monster year with Leonard Davis, and huge center Gurode, making a huge right mauling offenisve line.

So, how much longer is JJ going to let Colombo "test the market" before trying to get this done once and for all? We still seem to be talking/in negotiations with Colombo's agent (at least that's what all the reports indicate).

I think JJ could use Petitgout's and Pashos' contracts as approximate benchmarks for OT contracts this year in FA.
