First, let me say, I think that Colombo should resign with the Cowboys,
First, the cowboys were the only team that gave him a chance, let him recover a full year on the roster, and its true that bill parcells isnt there anymore, but Jerry Jones is, and he pays Colombo bills.
At same time, the cowboys need colombo as much as he needs the cowboys. To a degree loyalty is a lost commodity in the NLF, both to the team organization and the players.
Next, to me, Colombo played good the first 10 or 12 games, till I think his knee started bothering him again, the one that he dislocated. If Colombo is willing to come in, work out get in better shape, a little stronger, even Parcells said, that colombo was the best at not allowing sacks for the team.
If Colombo was to realize that with Leonard Davis besides him, they would make a huge difference at ROG and ROT, they could open huge holes, and in long run, even if it is just a 2 year contract that the cowboys want to give colombo, in time, he will get paid even more money if he proves to the rest of the NLF that his knees are ok, and he is in better shape, etc.
While at the same time, he and Davis can maul defenses, help the cowboys get to the super bowl and win, become winners. As you all know, players get more money and notice when you go to the super bowl and win and dominate.
So, Colombo, work something out with the cowboys, get into the offseason conditioning, and get in shape for a monster year with Leonard Davis, and huge center Gurode, making a huge right mauling offenisve line.
