I wish the Cowboys’ owner could fire the Cowboys’ GM…but sadly, we all know that will never come to fruition.
In the interim, teams like the Colts make the right move to improve their front office; who will then evaluate, and if necessary, upgrade coaching as well as their roster talent to become more competitive within the NFL landscape instead of dwelling in self-delusion with respect to their existing roster talent.
Meanwhile…in Jerry’s bizarro-world his puppet hirings, continuous need to be the focal point of this organization and ego-driven desire to be recognized as a “football guy” by his peers, have all but doomed this once proud franchise into perpetual mediocrity.
There is NO scenario in which the Cowboys will improve to the extent they will compete to win playoffs and championships. So long as there is a Jones progeny with an ownership interest, this franchise will be satisfied with maintaining status quo. That is a fact borne out by 30 years of history.
