Colts RB Jonathan Taylor has asked to be traded

No surprise Irsay said no way.

Unless I got a kings fortune for him I wouldn't either.

Read an article about five trades the Colts should accept for Taylor. Each involved a 1st round pick in 2024. One suggested trading the Chargers for a 1st and Austin Eckler. It really gives the impression that a good running back is worthy of lots of draft capital, but not a big contract.

His relationship with the Colts is officially messy.............lol (my goodness that was fast )

Now that Snyder is gone, maybe the media will focus on the next worst owner in the NFL.

Taylor is a pretty good candidate for an extension. Especially for the Colts. He's young, a really good back, somewhere around 10M a year isn't too cap prohibitive. I say this because he's 24.

Someone mentioned he's looking for 16M a year. I don't know if that's true or not. No one is paying a RB that much money anymore. You'd have to be the second coming of Barry Sanders to get that. These RBs can get 2nd contracts. They're just going to have to ask for a lot less.

Would it be yes please if we had to give up a first rounder and pay him a multiyear 16m per year contract?
You could get him for far less than a first, and he's quite possibly the best RB in the game. And he's young.

I love running backs, so I'd be good with it. He substantially better than Pollard.
