it is a grim time to be a Commanders fan.

Our present looks grim, and our future looks grim. It definatly says something when your QB of future cant even get in the game when your team is down by 20+ points

Well, in all fairness, it wasn't too bright of our own coach not to put Romo in the game last season when your 'skins pasted our Cowboys' butts all over the field in Washington.

Does Gibbs not trust in JC's abilities yet? Makes no sense why he isn't out there right now.

I would say because QB isn't the problem. Brunnell isn't great, but he's not as bad as some 'Skins fans make him out to be.

Their defense is supsect, and their offensive line hasn't lived up to its billing. Sure, Brunell has missed some receivers, but he's made some great throws as well, and he does have a pocket presence (unlike Bledsoe), although his arm has lost some of its strength over the years.

The 'Skins record is the result of a lack of depth, overhype of talent, and not playing up to its level last year.

Coaches aren't miracle workers. They can only do so much with a poorly run personnel organization.

Up here around DC there have been some mumblings that JC can't comprehend the play book.

According to the newspaper/radio this week, all Jason Campbell ever does is run the scout team. If they don't let him play with the offense in practice, there's no way he sniffs the field any time soon.

Brunell is Gibbs' guy, and Collins is Saunders' guy. Should be interesting to see what happens the rest of the way...especially if they continue the downward spiral.
