SOmething odd about that ring though. It's nice and all, a real good looking ring, but normally, when a team wins the Sb, the ring also indentifies in some way the number of SB wins. With the Cowboys each ring either has 1 or 2 or however many diamonds representing the number of wins. The Colt's have won two SBs (the first one against us  )

I guess the obvious question is does that win belong to Baltimore or to the Colts franchise?

The championship goes with the team, doesn't matter where they move. So yes the Colts have 2 Superbowl titles.

Does it normally have the owner's name on the side? Or is that new?

Could it be that each ring is persoanlized and that's Irsay's ring?

According to articles, they are all personalized. But, go take a look at the Colts roster! There are some long last names...how did they fit those names into such a small space?

Irsay, I can see...

Missing from the ring were the diamonds that teams typically use to symbolize the number of championships won by the franchise.
In the Colts case that would be two, counting their 1970 victory when the team was still in Baltimore. Irsay opted against that for two reasons.
"We look at it as being the first one for the Indianapolis Colts," Irsay said. "And there was no need to bring up any friction."

it's fugly

You're definitely in the minority with that opinion. It's a very clean look. Not sure what there isn't to like about it, other than it's not a Cowboys SB ring.

They were showing it on NFLN and the light bouncing off the bling was ridiculous.

People have forgotten the truth.

The Eagles once shared a Super Bowl ring.

It's a sad story with a gruesome ending, but I'll re-tell the tale.

It was during Super Bowl XXXIX.

Philadelphia tied the Patriots late in the third quarter, 14-14.

Unwilling to wait until the end of the game, overwhelming temptation compelled the Eagles players to put on their rings. They were in complete ecstacy.

Then it happened.

New England got the ball back, scored and at that exact moment, for a split second, something horrific happened and their rings were snatched away from them forever.

It was a scene so utterly terrible that most people pushed it deep into their subconscious, but the cameras were still rolling and pictures do not lie.

The following photo has been edited from official copies of the game broadcast. I warn you. It is very graphic...

Nice ring, the only way It'd be nicer is if it had 6 Lombardi's around a Star.
