Columbus gets TCU "Little Sisters" billboards

I agree that he could have put it a better way.

And they can put up all the signs they want to get back at him...although I doubt he's losing any sleep over them.

Doesn't change the fact that he's right.

Although I did see this little snippet...

of course, the mighty Buckeyes, whose sixth consecutive BCS appearance was built on the solid foundation of such heavy-hitting victims as Marshall, Ohio, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota and an injury-ravaged edition of Purdue. Gee quickly backpedaled from that dig, but was still forced over the weekend to admit that he planned on "eating my portion" of crow after the Big Ten's 0-5 flop in New Year's Day bowl games, capped by TCU's 21-19 win over Wisconsin on the Big Ten's most hallowed postseason turf, the Rose Bowl.

Oh please...every team including Texas plays lesser teams in their non conference schedules...hell I read something like that Florida hadn't even left the state of Florida since like 1991 to play a non conference scheduled game.

Ohio St scheduled non conference home and away games against Texas...USC and Miami...and that's in the last 5 years...not exactly powder puffs.

You think Vanderbelt...Mississipi and Kentucky are hard games...in the SEC

Or for that matter in the Big 12...Baylor...Kansas...Iowa St...or Colorado are tough?

:laugh2:

Gee was right...if those teams played in the Big Ten or SEC...they wouldn't be going undefeated every year.

Hi, Ohio State does not qualify for A or B here, but you keep pretending you're the smartest person on this forum.

I am the smartest person in this forum. Hell, I'm the smartest person on earth. Now move along crotchscout.

Stop being angry and enjoy the minor bowl you did win. :muttley:

Seems to me you're the one who's angry.

Cause if Gee wasn't right...you would probably be playing for the NC.

But he is...so you're not.

And billboards are all you can do about it.

TCU is the Rose Bowl Champion, What do I have to be angry about. You are the one coming into a TCU thread talking smack. :)

I thought this was classic. Funny stuff.

It really was not as much a shot at Buckeye fans (and certainly not the team)as it was for that bozo comment the OSU prez made.

What he said.

Yeah, TCU going into the Big 10's Bowl Game and winning on their turf against their best in conference probably was about as good as you can ask for. Shame, I really used to enjoy the heck out of watching the Buckeyes (and could give a hoot about TCU) until Gee opened his pie hole. Tressel always puts a good unit on the field.

Congrats on your Rose Bowl win...with the full knowledge that if Gee wasn't right it could have been a NC.

Didn't realize there were Big 10 teams that played in Cali.:bang2:

What Ohio State should do in response to this TCU nonsense is create a billboard on how TCU backed out of a matchup with Ohio State in 2009 and the billboard should say 'Little Sissies'. I know Ohio State probably wouldn't do this but it would be nice. TCU needs to go sit down somewhere and learn about building something instead of having one glorious year and thinking you have made it. Here is an article on how TCU backed out of playing Ohio St:

Well, they haven't been there before. Just a little good natured jibe - I think it's pretty darn funny. :D

I understand your AD got a little embarassed, but why are you so happy that a team that went undefeated (including through the bowl game) won't get a chance to play for an NC? Is that really something to gloat about? I think it's a pathetic indictment of the system the likes of which haven't been seen since Auburn '04.

Sometimes we see a team go undefeated but everyone knows they really aren't that great so it isn't a big deal to get left out of the NC, like Hawaii a couple years ago or Cincy last year. But sometimes a team really gets hosed, like TCU this year or the aforementioned Auburn team.

It is funny. Gary Patterson told Galloway on his radio show that he needs to call all the college ball "experts" who said TCU wouldn't go undefeated and give them hell.

I just happened to remember that Mr. Cowboy Bob Lilly is a TCU alum. I bet he's mighty proud.

I loved when Boise beat OU a few years ago and I love what TCU did this year.
