Now that the combine is over, just wanted to get folks thoughts on how they saw certain players perform and if it gives any indication on what the 'Boys may do in the draft.

Looks like ILB and G are not that deep this year. CB's looked slow compared to previous years and their are a couple of SS's who look like they would fit well with Dallas. Here are a few players I wouldn't mind seeing the 'Boys draft.

Chung
Rashard Johnson
David Bruton
Tyson Jackson
Ron Brace
Clay Matthews
Conner Barwin
Duke Robinson
Antonie Caldwell

To be honest with you...I watched the whole combine (yes that bored) and I didn't see many from any position that looked that great. It seems like a bad year. NFL network was just sad that the only real star of the combine, Crabtree, hurt his foot. I'm kind of glad we don't have a 1st. I just don't see the talent there like I saw last year.

I might think about taking a flyer on Darcel Mcbath, in the third or 4th....and I would love to get Robiske...but he will be long gone. IMO he had the best combine!

None.

Free agency will shape the draft some but it's fairly obvious the positions we will target in April.

I agree that Robiskie is going to be great. Something about being talented and the son of a coach, just adds up to a player you know is going to be special.

Sounds like someone the dolphins, under bill, would love. He loves those coaches sons. Now whether they turn out to be special or not tends to be something else. (cough barbie cough):D

too bad you already drafted 2 busts at WR last year ;)

you could use Robiskie instead of those 2 busts

bust

that girl has a huge bust

One thought.................It sure does suck not to have a 1st round pick.

Haha. At least Kelly can fall back on a basketball career.

I think this is the year to NOT have a first rd pick.

I agree, and I think our scouting dept had done ALOT of homework before that RW trade was made. And they guessed right IMO.

I think Chung moved himself up far out of our reach at #51 and there are other good safeties too after him.

Or maybe they figured we'd be picking at the bottom of the first round. Woops.

It's very disturbing just how many defensive tackles DIDN'T run a 4.58 40 this year. Very.

I think most of the CB's in this years draft are likely to be tried at FS...most of these prospects just don't have the elite speed needed today on the outside..I think this draft has lots of SS prospects...great depth at the WLB (will)....I thought there was lots of tackles this year that will be moved inside to guard with a bunch of guys already available makes the inside positions pretty deep...DL looks ok depth wise...

What I would not like to have a need for in this draft is at QB, LT, CB...I don't expect many good ones will come out of this draft.

But I think if you need Safety, inside Oline, WLB (will) help there is a pretty good chance of landing a solid one in this draft

the DL, MLB, SLB (sam), RB, WR, TE have about the same amount availablity as in most drafts...though I will say there are more bigger RB's available that have a chance than before

Here's who I like after the combine...

S David Bruton
C Eric Wood
WR Louis Murphy
ILB Marcus Freeman
WR Brian Robiskie
G Cornelius Lewis
NT Dorell Scott
S Chip Vaughn
ILB Tyrone McKenzie
CB Don Carey
RB Donald Brown
P Thomas Morstead
TE Dan Grankowski
FB Tony Fiammetta

I think Mike Thomas turned in an Eddie Royal performance and will most likely start climbing the boards. The biggest concerns regarding him are his size and his inflated stats in the Arizona spread offense. After turning in great East West/Senior Bowl practices and play, as well as awesome combine numbers, he will be sought after imo.
