Combine thread

that is why pressures is not as important a stat as some think.
the top QBs like Mahomes deal with pressure a lot better than those like Danny Dimes and others. The top QBs you have to do more than pressure; you have to put them on the ground or so be in their face constantly to really get them to play bad. Just making them move which is what a pressure is, will not work that well with the best QBs
Dan Campbell begs the difference .......... he puts them on par with sacks

Darien Porter CB Iowa St......4.30 Didn't see that coming...... :omg: 2nd round to Washington.

You know Quinn loves his tall DBs....

No doubt pressures are important, but he needs to improve upon this area to reach that next level.
100%…there’s always room for improvement.

But to credit his pass rusher ability for a sack number is insane this day and age.

I think we’d agree Jalen Carter is one of the best DT prospects of the last decade. Dude never had more than 3 sacks in a season at UGA and it didn’t matter. Know what he did have? A ton of pressures and a high pass rush win rate.

LOL

Check this out. It's insane this day and age to credit pass rush ability to sacks. Where it really matters is subjective dork things like PFF pass rush win rates.

This is why Osa deserves 20 plus million a year for the next 4 or 5. Sure, he actually only makes enough plays to be a rotational backup but this man wins pass rushes at a high rate according to PFF.

Get with the times.

He’s likely a great fit for the heavy zone scheme we’re going to be playing.

Might be a round 2 target.

Interior pressure is a game changer, it affects the pocket which leads to turnovers and negative plays. However, rushers need to be disciplined in today's game as we have seen get too aggressive opens up huge rushing lanes for these mobile QB's.

Agree.

That’s why I like Harmon so much. Like Graham and Nolen, he’s one of the few DTs that’s a stud against the run and as a pass rusher.

He ran like the wind.....but I didn't like his back peddle skills......Way too high....Questionable hands. Had him pegged to Washington 3/79....before the combine....Thinking nothing has changed. They can have him. Just stink of Dan Quinn....Dashon Wright all over again.
