Ok, last night sucked and I am still not over it. But, Atlanta still has a shot to make the playoffs with a win this upcoming weekend. So let's hope for the best. This was one strange weekend for football, so anything can happen. Shoot, maybe we'll switch back to the 4-3 and Roy Williams will get aggressive again?

I think Atlanta has a pretty good chance in this game. They're playing for a playoff spot and Vick, when he's on, is a pretty good player.

I've given up ever counting on another team to win when we really need it to win, so I'm pretty sure Atlanta will mail it in next week and lose by double digits.

But ... it would be incredible if the Falcons somehow pulled an upset and we ended up winning the division after all.

I'd even let DeAngelo Hall keep his Pro Bowl invitation if he picked off Garcia for the winning touchdown.

I really do not want Atlanta to win.

I want to go on the road versus Seattle. We have no home field advantage anyway. Our players need to feel like they are the underdog and in a bad position.

They may play then.

Atlanta will get run over, just like we did. Philly has finally recognized the running game. They are huge up front. Andrews is simply incredible.

If the giants lose to washington on saturday, then atlanta may fight their butts off and maybe they can win.

However if the giants win, atlanta will have nothing to play for, hence atlanta will get beat by at least 20 points.

I think it is actually in our favor to be the five seed. I think this team is better suited as an underdog and we play better on the road. Again, We mathchup well with seattle.

One bad thing is that they are playing the late game. If ATL finds out they have no chance getting in to the playoffs, I have a feeling they will just mail it in.

It would have been better if they played on Saturday.

I was going to post this also.

I'll go one step further though. Not only have I given up on counting on other teams but I find it kinda distasteful to have to root for another team to make up for our shortcomings.

there is absolutely no reason to think that atlanta can beat a hot philadelphia team.

there is absolutely no reason to think that dallas can beat a cold seattle team on the road in round one.

It would have been better if they played on Saturday.

As long as Washington beat the Giants (who are 1-6 in their past seven games) on Saturday, the Falcons should be alive. I don't think Carolina is going to win at New Orleans, and Green Bay doesn't play until Sunday night.

Your leaving out St.Louis I think st.louis is a lock to win.

I think there is a great chance that the giants, falcons, packers and panthers all lose and st.louis gets in.

I think philadelphia with thier offensive line look great. If st.louis gets a crack at philly that would be a heck of a matchup. St.louis does all the things well that philly struggles with.

The nfc is crazy. I think its week to week and matchup to matchup.

I like our chanes in seattle.

Atlanta doesn't need St. Louis to lose -- unless the Falcons somehow tie. (If St. Louis wins, I doubt that diminishes the Falcons' motivation, because that would merely mean that they have to win and not just tie.)

All Atlanta needs is a win, a Giants loss, a Carolina loss and a Green Bay loss.

I would agree with you if it was a meaningful game for NO. I have a feeling, NO will not give 100% effort. I wouldn't be surprised if they start resting their starters after the first half. Epecially Drew Breeze, Reggie Bush, and Duece.

I'm not one for hoping other teams do us a "favor" with a win.

If the Cowboys can't take care of their own business, they don't deserve to win the division.

You missed my point. I am not speaking in terms of atlantas chances. Personally I dont think they have a shot at all.

The biggest thing about atlanta is that the giants play on saturday night, so they will know if they are in or out. If the giants win atlanta will be wiped out. IF the giants lose, I think atlanta will be competitive for a quarter or two at best.

My point was that I see the giants, panthers, packers and atlanta losing and st.louis winning. With st.louis getting in.

St.louis if they protect the quarterback is a dangerous matchup for st.louis and new orleans! That is why I said the nfc is crazy and it is all about the week to week matchups.

Records dont matter once this starts in two weeks. I do like us over seattle.
