Come on guys Davis helps but we still have problems

Actually, a lot of folks like me in here... even a couple of the mods who issued infractions to me, you could tell it hurt them to do it...

They like me because I get in the faces of guys like you, and I have been known to be kinda comical while doing so... they like me because of my draft and free agent analyses, those few times when I wander from troll baiting...

Basically, they like me because they appreciate the sheer wonderfulness of me...

Meanwhile, I'll bet even your "allies", the other posters who are just about universally despised in here, don't like you either...

Every board I go to, some folks despise me, some folks like me... I'd actually say it's a bit more than 50-50, in my favor... heck, most of the boards wind up making me a moderator (though a coupla of them have come to their senses, and fired me, LOL), and on one of 'em, I finished second in the Poster of the Year voting last year... a distant second, and the winner deserved it... I voted for him, and could think of 2 or 3 who deserved it more than I did...

I feel sad for you, that you'll never, ever be one tenth as popular on these boards as I am...

I too like the o-line for this upcoming season it has the chance to be stellar with Adams, Kosier, Gurode, Davis, and Colombo if all can become a cohesive unit and play to the potential all of us fans hope.

Colombo, was a pleseant surprise last season he made a believer outta me in the Panthers game,when he kept Julius Peppers, in check when I thought Romo, was going to leave in a body bag after the game Marc, played with some intensity I didn't know he had.

COLOMBO is an ok tackle but he is not great...Davis is going to do very well at guard....gurode will be good one week and then the next he will not...thats his history...go by the history dont go by the homerism...take those glasses off and you get REALITY....as far as Kosier...he got pushed back more than I would have liked to see....remember we couldnt run the ball when we needed to last year against good teams...dont forget that

Anyone who can keep one of the NFL's most disruptive players in check for most of the game is an above average player in my book.

I also rewatched the falcons game the other night and Columbo looked pretty good in that game too. Rivera was the one who was getting killed. I think if Columbo did this in EVERY game then he would get a higher rating from most. We dont know how all this will play out with his previous injury. He may be ok or it may go the other way. There are alot of things up in the air right now as far as him and the line in general. I did think I would see Davis playing a little better than what I saw in the clips that were posted when we played them. At least in the run game but I didnt see it. He was average. Let's hope we havent overrated him at the guard position.

Columbo was a bit of a problem last year IMO...Witten had to help out way too much.

Kosier got laid out several times too....and Gurode still knows how to wiff on his man.

Same thing with Flozell....he gets beat by speed too much.

While I think we are improved with Davis at Guard I do believe that we are not as great as the homers may say. You can see a homer a mile a way....they have been posting....Oh our Line is going to be dominant...awesome...lol...etc.etc.etc....Did they watch the games last year?

IMO I would say our line went from a 6.5 to a 7.25.
