In the post game interview he looked like he was about to cry, and his neck looked relatively normal. 17 sacks in 12 games, down to 5.5 in 10 games. I may never have to see that stupid lights out dance again if things keep up.

Nope, intentional grounding wiped it out. He doesn't get credit for it, even though he should. Happened to him in the Vikings game too.

So that's 2 sacks he's been robbed of in that way, which would have given him an NFL-leading 11 on the year.

Ted Cottrell was brought into San Diego because he runs essentially the same scheme as Wade. So the "no Wade" excuse doesn't really fly for Merriman.

It's looking more and more like the 'roids played a very big role in Merriman's previous "success".
