Extremely underrated talent.

Many people here probably don't understand or comprehend Eddie's comedy or talent because he was popular before they were born.

He was an incredibly hot commodity because he had the ability to do Pryor style comedy, but with the ability to make noises and impersonate and do it all with a cool demeanor. Most standups that were in the realm of being as good as Pryor didn't have that talent to do voices, sing, etc. And most of them had a dark past and demeanor about them that kept the audience at arm's reach.

Despite all of that, I really believe Charlie was even more talented than Eddie. His ability to act, write, do impersonations, etc. were to me...superior to Eddie.

I can't tell the world just how underrated he was.

He is Eddie Murphy brother. Just check Charlie Murphy’s ‘Chappelle’s Show’ sketches

I remember seeing a photo of him looking crazy skinny not that long ago. I saw him open for Chappelle during the height of the Chappelle show, and Charlie killed it.

He's done so much more than the chappelle show, those that don't know will have a lot of fun discovering his other work now.

R.I.P. Charlie Murphy

His true Hollywood Stories skits were epic. Him stating that Rick James stepped over the line habitually and then saying..."he's a habitual line stepper" is classic! Etched in the vernacular of millions...legacy complete. Rest in peace.

That's my favorite joke of his "habitual line stepper" genious, guy didn't get enough credit, imo.
