I haven't figured out yet if it's an ingenious idea to turn a space superhero theme into a copy buddy detective drama, or just plain stupid. I'll watch it. Anything to see a DC product that doesn't feel like another Guardians of the Galaxy clone. I kid, I kid, don't jump me Gunn Supporters.

It's interesting. And thank goodness it's not a GoTG clone. Looks sort of like a dramedy. I'll give it a shot. I don't think it can be worse than the Marvel shows or Star Wars shows I gave a shot to. (Famous last words)

I did not post this video to criticize its creator. There is not anything I disagree with.

I did so because I want anyone to listen to how he responded to a comment left for him about Nightwing versus certain characters in a fight. Personally, i think the person who left the comments was on crack. Dead serious, ESPECIALLY about the last six opponents.

Those initial percentages were a joke. The funniest one was giving Nightwing a 30% chance of beating Spider-man. Tell me you've never read a Spider-man comic without telling me you've never read a Spider-man comic. That Spidersense is just too potent. Nightwing doesn't' even have a 1% chance in a random encounter. Wolverine would curb stomp Nightwing every time too. With Daredevil it's probably closer to 50/50 with Daredevil having the edge due to the radarsense. Nightwing would beat Elektra and Punisher more often than not. (This is all given random encounters and no prep time). Moon Knight? I'm not sure about. I don't know enough about the character.

Nightwing has as good of a chance of beating Moon Knight as I do of beating Nightwing. Grayson could ambush him while he is in one of his split personalities. Otherwise, Batman's protege is toast.

Nice. Was trying to figure out who the villain is. Is that Scorpion with the long arms fighting him? And I guess the red ninjas are the Hand? Very cool to see some Punisher and now possible Daredevil/Elektra tie-ins. It will definitely be hard though to top that last one with all the Spider-Man actor tie-ins and chorus of famous villains.

Memorable Marvel/DC comics....

Spidey's my favorite of all time, but unless he's made kryptonite webbing, I don't see how he could have a chance.
Lex Luthor hit Spider-man with some sort of kryptonite ray that let Spidey actually hurt Supes, but when Supes was going to retaliate, he stopped just before making contact with Spidey....and just the air made Spidey fly back hard. IF I recall correctly. It's been decades since I read it.

Gunn ha never failed me but I think this is gonna piss off a lot of comic fans.

I am 50/50 in agreement. Comic book fans are used to reading the occasional atypical storylines. Some stories are presented showing characters within scenarios outside the usual superheroing norm.

That's what James Gunn is aiming for in my opinion. I think a good portion of the fan audience will get what he's trying to do despite how they will grade his final product.

I agree. I think the only issue here is everyone has been kind of craving for the Lantern universe to be explored and that comes with expectations that probably aren’t even available as a Max series.

True enough, but I kinda think (could be way off base though) James Gunn seeks to present a live action view exceptionally counter what some of the audience remembers from the 2011 movie fiasco. Since then, fans have had a few animated movies and series to satisfy their desire for a genuine live action representation of the Corps.

It may be bold of me to say, but I would guess most fans agree the animated stuff of Jordan, Stewart, etc., and even Nathan Fillion rendition of Gardner was better than Ryan Reynolds' version. Gunn is deviating away from how the characters are usually presented in order to say, "These are the GLs, but they are GLs with personalities that will grab your attention and keep you emotionally invested because it will be more than you would have expected to see."
