Never really could get into his Star Wars character, but I think he's a good choice for that Sinister role. Not a bad actor at all.

One thing about X-Men that I think is more appropriate to today's society is how people treat superheroes. I know Zack Snyder got a lot of crap for his take on Superman and a cynical public, but let's face it, that is exactly how people would behave. No trust, take off your masks, register your DNA, too much unchecked power paranoia.... all that stuff would most definitely happen. Society lives by fear over change.

If Kevin Smith is the writer then it's going to suck. He hasn't written anything good since the 90s.

James Gunn has not been batting a thousand since taking over the DCU. Supergirl, for one, was not a proper introduction to Kara Zor-El (an understatement to be sure).

On the other hand, I have been loving the True Detective approach. And each episode's conclusions have been home runs in my book.

Yeah i've said they need to scrap the whole "DCU" stuff and just focus on making solid films. Their more well received stuff are outside of the DCU it seems. Batman, Penguin limited series, Lanterns seems to be getting solid reviews...I don't know how to feel about Clayface but seems the trailer has people intrigued.

I think Supergirl should've been introduced as a series. Forcing Superman into that and forcing this new script writer it was just a bad idea so many missteps makes you wonder what the hell they are even thinking.

It is funny that you mention The Penguin. I believe Lanterns was intentionally produced in the same Elseworlds type style. In fact, I have a feeling it may eventually serve as a bridge for the Robert Pattinson/Batman and David Corenswet/Superman stuff.

Ahhh that would be interesting. So is the Batman product more Matt Reeves brainchild? I wonder how much influence does Gunn have on that product. I mean based on Peacemaker and Superman these titles seem night and day with Batman and even Lanterns.

lol. Sony retained Spider-Man's film and television rights when Disney bought its intellectual rights a decade ago. Kinda makes Sony pretty dang smart considering the studio paid Marvel only $7 million for the character back in 1999.
