As we sit here... we have only 2 regular season games left this year.

As we sit right now, how would you rate this season compared to your expectation?

I went into the season thinking we'd have about the success we've had. Now, I thought we'd be here because of an "easy schedule" but that isn't the case.

After week one I figured we'd be in line for a top-flight pass rusher in the draft.

All-in-all it's been an excellent year IMO.

What say you?

If things fall right this is the best chance we have had in last 20 years to win it all

what we need:

1. Dak play mistake free good football
2. OL protect Dak and open run lanes
3. Defense shows up ie stop the run and get turnovers

OR

we could get bounced in wild card round

Cowboys are were I expected them to be. Actually though we would win the division but who knew 11 to 12 wins would not win the east. Like most my attention now turns to the playoffs. What I hope to see is improved play from the defense over these next 2 weeks especially the CB spot opposite of Diggs. I need these guys heading to the playoff feeling confident. After that it all comes down to 1 game, win and move on lose and season is over with no easy path to the SB.

I’m not disappointed with the record but I am disappointed with the inconsistency of dak and aspects of the team

Given how things looked after the first game, I'm pleasantly surprised to be 11-4. Sure a couple wins slipped away on the road, but after the Tampa debacle and knowing Dak was going to be out at least a month, I was afraid this might turn into a lost season like 2020.

Instead, the team has a chance to do something in the playoffs. Here's hoping they do it.

Don't care about the regular season home stretch.
The outcome of the season depends on decisions made by the Head Coach and QB against playoff level coaching staffs, QBs and defenses.

For the most part, the offensive and defensive coordinators of this team have performed at a high level for most of this year.

I don't have any confidence in McCheese or Dak both making good decisions on the road in tight spots against playoff teams.

Opinions will vary though.

As it stands right now, this team is in good shape to have a good playoff run. It wouldn't surprise me if they won out.
This team is better than the last few, and the NFC is weaker than I can ever remember.

Im just concerned about having to do it all on the road. That sucks.

The team has exceeded my expectations, I never thought they would be 10-4 with two to play. However, we currently look pretty similar to last year’s team at this time. The offense is productive and putting up a lot of points and the defense looks suspect. Although we have a much better team than I expected we still look like a one and done playoff team. I have a very uneasy feeling about our defense, which has always been our biggest problem entering the playoffs. My opinion could change in the next two games, depending on our performances.

Above expectations. It would be hard to find anyone that predicted better than 11 wins.

if we don’t go far in the playoffs it won’t be Dak or the offense. Dak is not elite, he is plenty good enough though. If we don’t go far, it’s because 28 points wasn’t enough, and that’s never on an offense

What’s really frustrating is when the season started our offense wasn’t very good but our defense was playing terrific. Offensively we weren’t very productive and weren’t scoring many points, but we were winning games with our defense and relentless pass rush. I can’t recall any Cowboys team having the pass rush we had the first half of the season. We were on franchise record pace for sacks and even had an outside chance to break the 84 Bears record of 72 sacks. It was so much fun watching our pass rush harass QBs. When Dak returned to the lineup our offense dramatically improved and we became the highest scoring offense in the league. Once the offense started rolling our defense began to fall apart. Our vaunted pass rush completely disappeared. The Cowboys can never get their offense and defense going at the same time. The offense is usually good every season, but the defense always starts to crack once we get to December.

My thoughts on the remaining season are pretty simple. Win! We can still win the division so we can't let up now. We just need to keep winning and hope Philly keeps losing.

...and if that doesn't work out then we get the 5 seed and go on the road to play the winner of the NFC South. Most likely that will be Tampa Bay.
