I'll accept whatever happens in the games ahead. ;)

It's, really, not a matter of life or death, after all.

A single good playoff win would suit me fine. o_O

Regardless of record, we seem to be declining as the season goes on. I don't have a lot of confidence for the playoffs. Hopefully, we can get some guys healthy and catch fire.

They have done better than I anticipated by 2 wins.

The real surprise is the division showing up so well.

it has been a good season. some great wins but i just have a bad feeling that this team peaked in the vikings game and since then they are just hanging on. i still have a bad feeling that this team is going to go to tampa and lose to brady again when we know that the cowboys are the better team but the same things that has plagued this team for many years will happen again. bad penalties and a costy turnover will lead to another one and done.

You got Cowboys PTSD my friend.
I think we all got it.
After watching this team poop the bed in the playoffs the last 27 years we all expect failure.

As we sit here... we have only 2 regular season games left this year.

As we sit right now, how would you rate this season compared to your expectation?

I went into the season thinking we'd have about the success we've had. Now, I thought we'd be here because of an "easy schedule" but that isn't the case.

After week one I figured we'd be in line for a top-flight pass rusher in the draft.

All-in-all it's been an excellent year IMO.

What say you?
I'd like to see looking a little bit sharper as we head into the next level. We won;t be feeding off the bottom...we'll be playing the best.

It was a good tough win against the Eagles....so if we can reduce early mistakes...and stick to our game....we got a chance.

I've curbed my enthusiasm just a little bit...as this team has to prove itself...like it hasn;t done in quite some time. Do they have it in them to make a run? Dunno yet but cheering them on!

What’s really frustrating is when the season started our offense wasn’t very good but our defense was playing terrific. Offensively we weren’t very productive and weren’t scoring many points, but we were winning games with our defense and relentless pass rush. I can’t recall any Cowboys team having the pass rush we had the first half of the season. We were on franchise record pace for sacks and even had an outside chance to break the 84 Bears record of 72 sacks. It was so much fun watching our pass rush harass QBs. When Dak returned to the lineup our offense dramatically improved and we became the highest scoring offense in the league. Once the offense started rolling our defense began to fall apart. Our vaunted pass rush completely disappeared. The Cowboys can never get their offense and defense going at the same time. The offense is usually good every season, but the defense always starts to crack once we get to December.
I am not sure you are giving enough credit to that early offense. We went ahead and lost the first game, and many said "TANK IT NOW!".

YEs the defense played great, but the offense played within their means...well enough to keep the ship afloat despite early calls for disaster.

That gets credit in my book no matter how my yards and points.

many of you are liars and you know it ..dop we need to bring back 100s of users here claiming the historically bad offseason and after game 1 precited maybe 7-9 wins max no playoffs, even claimed Jerry was organically tanking. No depth, didn't replace the stars with any equal talent etc etc

Oh i remember when dak went down those guesses went to 4-6 wins.

SO please don't make yourself liars by claiming this was close to what most predicated. that included Media

Injuries were responsible for both those scenarios.

We had to play a certain style of offense when Cooper Rush was the QB. We weren’t very productive and weren’t scoring a lot of points. We were only scoring one or two TDs per week. We had little passing game and we’re relying on our running game. Our offense was ranked in the 20s. We were winning games with our defense and kicker. Our offense took off when Dak returned to the lineup.

It’s been a good season. Much better than I anticipated.

We’ve beaten a number of quality teams: Vikings, Eagles, Bengals.

I’m keeping my expectations low for the playoffs, however, given our history.

Fine...all true.

Except admitting the offense ....especially Rush....DID....like the defense.... exceed expectations.

They didn't set the world on fire. And they didn't nuke it either. Credit.
