Still, it took a lot of balls for the ref to throw a flag in that situation. Players jaw at refs all the time. Nor did Incognito touch him in any way.

As far as I could tell, nothing. Players were just standing around. No one I could see was even talking to the ref when he threw the flag.

Incognito kept mouthing off to the official but he wasn't that close to the guy. His teammates tried to get him to shut his mouth but he wouldn't stop.

I don't know who the bigger idiots are though.

1. Incognito for repeatedly mouthing off.
2. The official for actually calling something that could affect the outcome of the game.
3. Haslett for running the ball after the penalty instead of trying to get his kicker a little bit better chance with a short pass out of bounds.


The rams were fortunate that the kicker made it.
