with cooley, santana moss, 3 of their top offensive linemen, now with haynesworth-dont know how badly he is hurt, with the top 1st draft pick the Commanders got from orapaku or however you spell his name, landry at safety wiht horton, their top middle lineback even though he is getting older, decent fullback, and the young linebacker from miami, their 2 young wrs, dont overlook them

they have the major pieces you build
what they do need is a young rb, another offensive linemen, they have the pieces, the thing that has hurt them is new head coaches almost every other year, a new offensive game plan where their qb campbell has had to relearn the system

i am not saying i like the Commanders, dont misunderstand me, i totally dislike snyder and the Commanders

but they have some pieces that if they get a top free agent here or there with another good draft, they could be dangerous

now im hoping im totally wrong and the Commanders will lose for years and we can rub it in their faces

Not bashin you here Cowboyjoe, but this of core players you list is not that impressive.

Plenty of teams out there headed for a 3-5 win season with a similar list. Just about every team has a short list of 5-10 good to very good players who could play/start for a lot of other teams.

This is pro football in 2009. Not quite as much difference in talent between the contenders and pretenders as there was 20 years ago prior to FA.

So I agree with what you're saying in theory. The sucks could be turned around quickly. But so could every other weaker team in this league. There's nothing special about the sucks that make you say...wow just a few more pieces and they're there.

With all that said, I personally believe they could be as bad as anyone with as little chance to get things turn around simply because of a poor front office.

Add to all of that the fact that they don't have a legit QB. I see them drafting 2nd behind Cleveland next spring.

You don't have to go all the way back to 07 to find the last KC win. KC sucks but they haven't stamped their suckiness into the history books like the Lions have.

I don't think you appreciate just how much fail the Skins brought to this game being the first team since 07 to lose to the Lions, even Browns fans can point and laugh at the skins today :laugh2:

There's another Skins fan on another Skins board claiming that he's going to quit watching the NFL, not because the Skins lost, but because the refs cost the Skins the game. He actually thinks Horton didn't PI on that one play (and forgets that Calvin Johnson got robbed on his PI call as well).

I have ZERO sympathy for Skins nation. There were enough Skins fans who were giddy when the practice bubble collapsed. I have ZERO sympathy for Haynesworth who tried to crush Andre Gurode's head back in 2006. I have ZERO sympathy for Joe Gibbs, who still roots for the Skins when he wouldn't shake Parcells' hand after a game.

They are who we thought they were, a bunch of frauds.

And if Dallas loses tomorrow, it still pales in comparison to a team that just lost to the Lions who had a 19 game losing streak.

The Skins DO always seem to give us a hard time. But not this year.
