Forget the stats and standings for a minute, the Commanders have had the talent but have failed to perform when they needed wins the most. Ok, now let's take a look at the standings ...

NFC East
Team W-L PCT PF PA Home Road AFC NFC DIV

Philadelphia 8-1 .889 238 152 4-0 4-1 2-1 6-0 2-0

N.Y. Giants 5-4 .556 186 158 2-2 3-2 1-0 4-4 2-1

Dallas 3-6 .333 162 252 2-3 1-3 1-2 2-4 1-2

Washington 3-6 .333 125 150 1-4 2-2 0-3 3-3 0-2

While the Giants started off rocky, they've shown they are capable of making a run at the wildcard; personally I think Dallas can stIll overtake NY in their quest. I'm not certain why Bill Parcels won't use Henson, but eventually, I think Cowboy GM will force the issue or rather Persuade the Hall of Fame Coach to explore the QB designated as the future of the team. While New York has already made the adjustment, it's not too late for Dallas to show the same flexibility. If they do, I think Dallas can make the run and obtain the WC spot!

In the meantime, the Commanders are slithering in their on discontent. The coaching staff seems to be making adjustments by removing Brunell and inserting Ramsey, But I believe in their case, they may have waited a little too long to make the change.

Eagles NFC Eastern Champions

Cowboys NFC Wild Card Birth #1 choice (critical game - Dallas vs Giants)

Giants NFC Wild Card #2 choice (Also critical game - Dallas vs Giants)

Commanders Another unexpected disappointing year. But this Sunday will tell that story, as they meet up with the strongest link in the NFC East. This should prove to be an interesting game because everyone wants to know can Ramsey make the difference!?

What? The giants started off hot and now they look like pretenders.

Playing henson would concede the year. DO you really expect every rookie qb to look like Big Ben? That is a 1and 100 chance...

Their change is the only 1 that would be a positive thing in the nfc east.

um, now this is a cowboys website so I expect bias. I don't think the cowboys have a shot in H*ll at a wildcard.........If the cowboys find a runnning game, the Commanders blowout phily and pittsburgh......

Sure they do! You're aall saying the same thing ...the Giants are now looking like "pretenders," and Dallas already showed they can trounce upon the Commanders ...restated, Dallas has a legitimate shot at the wildcard if they can connect a Qb with KeShawn, and pull together some big "D!" But they've got to go through the Giants and Commanders.

I think they can do it!

Right now, I'm listening to a TV show called "The Commanders Report." The show is a panel discussion with George Michaels (a local Washington DC Journalist -- he's really good), Sonny Jergesen (Commanders HOF QB), and John Riggons (Commanders HOF running back). The program is designed to discuss some strategy and the chances of winning the upcoming game. Week in and week out, they talk about winning, Ramsey was interviewed and mentioned that he is looking forward to completing some passes, but they really haven't put together a defensive package. The Eagels are not the Commanders problem -- Dallas is the roadblock that will stop the Skins from a wildcard birth. The Giants vs Dallas will be the biggest game to come in the NFC East.
