Commanders Chase Young will make season debut Saturday

OL's across the NFCE were pretty bad that year. He was pretty ineffective last year before getting hurt

He was pretty awful actually. Saw most of his games because I'm 40 miles from DC. He seemed to have a bull rush and a speed rush and nothing else. Most teams just ran at him and he vanished like a Hooker in Church.

Vince Young was a defensive rookie of the year?

Still is a factor to take into account. He has not lived up to his hype or draft status much. He has not even finished 2 full seasons yet. He is still learning.

However, I seen all of his games at OSU. He feasted on lower level talent, but in big games, especially the bowl games he disappeared more so than not.
When they needed a big play, he did not make very many against better teams.

I seen the same in the NFL so far. His rookie season, he did great against the lesser offense. Then not as well against the better ones. Then again the entire defense was that way.
Then his 2nd season, seemed he fell off, but also the entire defense as well.

Dude has been out 13 months. Sorta makes you think we rushed Gallup back after not even 10 months with the same injury.

NFL defensive rookie of the year in 2020 before tearing his ACL in 2021, but okay.

Eh, 7.5 sacks as a rookie, 1.5 in 9 games last year. I’m thinking he’s been a bit overhyped. If he was here the screams of bust and calls for Jerry’s execution would be deafening!

I would say that I hope the Commanders beat the 49ers now that Chase Young is back, but it won't help the Cowboys in any way since the 49ers have a 3 game lead in their division, plus they are 5-0 within their division opponents. 49ers could lose these last 3 games but they still would win their division. The only bad thing if Chase Young suddenly starts playing well is they are a division rival who our Cowboys have to play against in 3 weeks to end this regular season. A game which our Cowboys will need to win in order to keep that #5 ranked status in the NFC Conference and enable us to play at the weaker Tampa Bay Buccaneers instead of at the stronger San Francisco 49ers.

It will help Dallas if we end up over taking the Eagles for the east. Not likely, but something to think about.
