I would not be surprised if they told Gibbs and he forgot ....

He acts like an old man with Alzheimer's.

That was funny, that maybe he forgot.
Well, every dog has its day, even roadkill. Must say it brought a chuckle to me.
Wait . . . you were trying to be funny, right, roadkill?

How could Gibbs not know?

That organization is a mess.

I don't buy it for a second. My gosh, Art started a thread about it days in advance. Now if Art knows more than Joe they may as well close up shop. Then again, maybe Art's running the show?

Plus how would the Bills even know that the Commanders were playing only 10 men as a tribute to Taylor? If they were not told about it before hand they would have know clue about it.

I thought it was a great tribute.

In some ways, the fact that the Bills got a big gain on the play only serves as a bigger "tribute" to Taylor and the impact that his absence has on the team.

If you saw that game, you witnessed that tribute all throughout the Bills comeback, as Trent Edwards assaulted the middle of the field. How soon before Skins fans turn on LaRon Landry?

We'll see.

This is just another instance that shows just how royally screwed up the deadskins organization is. What I heard this morning from a reporter who gets a lot of inside the locker room scoops is that they made the decision the night before. Gibbs was supposed to know, and they were also going to tell the Bills coaches about it. They were going to line up 10 defensive players and ask the bills to take a delay of game penalty, which the skins would decline. After that they would bring in the 11th defensive guy and the game would go on with no repercussions to either side. But somewhere in that god forsaken organization nobody told Gibbs or the Bills. And the rest my friends is history. (One personal comment, if the Bills did take a delay of game penalty, could the Skins decline it or does it get assessed automatically?)

This is astonishing to me, too. Especially since it had been talked about all week by their fans.

Exactly, I KNEW and I can barely keep up with my own employees and I KNEW they were thinking about coming out with 11.

Didn't a college team do something similiar? I think it was college.

I believe a team lined up to kick a field goal (I think something had happened to the field goal kicker)

The team lined up and just stood there with no field goal kicker and took the delay of game penalty.

Does anybody remember this? I can't remember if this is what happened.

Yah. USC did this when their PK died.

I remember that. I recall seeing the video sportscenter. I didn't know the kicker, but it almost brought a tear to my eye.
