Commanders coach Mike Shanahan isn't ruling out a run at free agent Terrell Owens after the upcoming draft.

Shanny wouldn't mention T.O. by name, but he did say the Commanders will wait out the market. "Maybe after our minicamps, maybe after the draft, some guy will be out there," said Shanahan, "and we'll gobble him because we think he has a chance to improve our football team." Shanahan nearly nabbed Owens in 2006 before he signed with the Cowboys.

Mike Shanahan isn't dismissing the chance for a reunion with Brandon Marshall.

"You'll just have to wait and see," Shanahan said with a smile when asked about any possible interest . "Can't share that with you."

Shanahan also was asked if he would be interested in Terrell Owens, who he almost signed in 2006. His answer was vague, but he left the possibility open.

"We don't talk about who's on our radar screen for obvious reasons, but we do have a plan. And sometimes we'll wait to see what the market value is relative to the price," Shanahan told the Washington Post. "And maybe after our minicamps, maybe after the draft, some guy will be out there, and we'll gobble him because we think he has a chance to improve our football team."

Marshall seems like a longshot unless the Broncos would take the No. 37 overall pick for him, but the Commanders are one of the only teams on which Owens makes a lot of sense. Once his price comes down.

It is interesting that YOU would think that is what they were thinking considering Joe was quite clear in talking about TO creating locker room issues for the skins.

In TO's last season we saw first hand how he could be shut down..... you think Jenkins and Newman didn't see that? They'll school him if he shows up in a Skins uni and I would love to see him ***** out Shanahan & his QB at Cowboy Stadium. Plus I would love to see Cowboy fans that still have TO jerseys burn them in front of Cowboy Stadium b4 the game, those are the nastiest Cowboy jerseys out there IMO.
