Does anyone really believe that the Cowboys are going to win in Washington next week playing reserves against a fired up team with everything to play for at their home field?

Would it be worth the injury risk to first team guys to be playing for nothing against their guys that are going to be hitting at 110% effort.

And assuming that Washington does make the playoffs, are we then concerned about them being a 'team of destiny'?

Talk about misleading thread title.

"Team of destiny"?

My arse, big deal if they beat bunch of backups.

are you kidding?:lmao:

i think our starters will play against the skins. but they all should be out of the game by halftime. we don't need to be rusty in the playoffs. let Romo get some work with terry at the same time.

it would be an excelent ending to a great season for dallas to send the Commanders home with a loss,we can still beat them resting only the injured players!

No...not kidding.

Watch them get in playoffs (which by itself is a minor miracle) and then play inspired ball through the playoffs dedicated to the memory of Sean Taylor.

At this point in the season Dallas Fans dont need to be concern with ANY Team playing, we have home field a bye and no one in the NFC is going to stand in our way!

I'll take talent and home field over inspiration any day and Seattle will beat the Skins.

People like to underestimate just how big of an advantage the first week bye is. Even if Washington sneaks in by beating Dallas next week, they'll face a letdown sooner rather than later. It's tough to keep the pressure on when you've had so many must win games to win.

The Steelers did it, but they may very well be the exception to the rule. Dallas has nothing to lose playing their backups and everything to gain in getting their players rested for their home game in the playoffs.

I would be really surprised if the starters saw more than 1 or 2 quarters worth of action.

Yes... the Boys are that much better...

If you're not hurt, you play in the game, period... if you are hurt, even if you're only a little dinged up and probably could play, you sit the game out...

Not even remotely... that team is not a championship caliber team...
