Cowboys 31
Commanders 13

This one is over by Halftime. Cowboys allow the Commanders to score a late td in the game to move their total to 13.

....more often than not, these games are decided by less than a score, no matter how good or bad the teams are.

Wow, someone with a level headed thing to say. :clap2:

I'm pretty sure he's a fellow Commanders fan.:p:
He isn't cognizant of much. He may not understand your correct explanation and think you are dissing his team. Be grateful you didn't mention a vegetable of some kind.

You know a fanbase knows they are overmatched when their justification for picking their team to win is "Division games are always close" and "If we can keep it close in the fourth we've got a chance."

No, they're not thinking about how the team's match up, because let's be honest - they don't match up at all. Rather, they're relying on the mystic powers of close division games to give them hope.

Cowboys win in a rout.

45-13.

I just can't see anyone honestly thinking the Skins are going to come into Texas Stadium and beat us right now.

i cant remember a time coming here and seeing dallas fans predicting a loss for their team.

on the other hand, would anyone be surprised if the skins were 0-3? i wouldnt. they are a team with a new, rookie HC and a new offensive system that everyone says takes years to learn.

i thought the D would be at least respectable, given the # of returning starters from last year. and so far they are playing pretty well vs some very potent competition.

the offense is playing much better than i thought they would play at this point. and i'm not a campbell hater- he excelled in a similar system his senior year at auburn. he seems to be picking things up quickly. moss is healthy, and when he's healthy he puts up big #'s as he did a few years ago here.

as for dallas, i think you all may be almost as good as advertised. vs philly, i thought your D had issues, but vs GB, they did away with those thoughts. the O is great. romo can be a loose cannon, but he makes up for it more often than not.

last year, while i was in lamaze classes with my wife :bang2: , the skins almost pulled one out at texas stadium. i think the team is confident, given its recent history vs dallas and the way they are playing right now.

do i think they'll win? i honestly think they have a shot. but i wont be surprised if they lose.

yeah, i'm sure there have been individuals who have had their occasional doubts. and now that i think about it, these teams are really coming from 2 different perepectives. if the skins were 13-3 last year with that potent O and 13 pro bowlers (ok, small chuckle there. i mean, really.), and started off like they have, i'd probably think they would win just about every week as well.

the skins, on the other hand, are a team that has had to overcome some odds 2 of the last 3 years. they needed improbable winning streaks to overcome bad starts- not to mention the death of their best player. they are scrappy and i dont think they feel like they can't play with anyone. if this is the best division in football, given how they played last year- a play away from a win in every division game- maybe they should feel that way.

I will never understand you Skins fans and your whining that we believe in the Cowboys on a Cowboys themed forum. It really isn't that difficult a concept to grasp. Yet every week at least one of you is upset that we believe in our team. Get the hell over it already.

It's always the seemingly easy one's that cause me to have chest pains. Because they're never as easy as you'd expect them to be and you end up screaming at the screen, 'why are you letting these clowns do this'?

I think the Commanders - like everybody else - bring their A game for the Cowboys and make a game of it.

31-17 Cowboys wear them out late.

Cowboys 41-17. TO and Witten both have huge games, Ware sacks Campbell at least twice, Pacman with a Pick Six, Barber and Jones rack up 150+ on the ground.

This team has too much size, too much speed, and way too much offensive firepower for the Commanders to deal with. The key to it all IMO is the offensive line - keep Romo clean, he will eat up any NFL defence alive, and that's exactly what will happen Sunday.

Somehow that didn't work for us against the Eagles from about 2000-2002, did it?

Same here. These aren't the Rams coming in here.

I do think all the Skins chest-beating about that final game of the year when we weren't even trying to win will give our guys some motivation, though.
