Commanders Cut 10 So Far

Fred Smoot, Antwaan Randle El, Cornelius Griffin, Rock Cartwright, Randy Thomas, and Ladell Betts were all cut today. A lot of longtime Commanders and two captains. A third captain, Samuels, retired today. All of them were over 30. The Commanders had the oldest 53 man roster on opening day last year.

Edit: Todd Collins, Marcus Mason, Eddie Williams and JD Skolnitsky were also cut, the last two of no real significance.

I will always be a fan of Fred Smoot, based solely on how much fun it was to watch Antonio Bryant school him every time they played each other.
