Per local radio.

Walking injury. Part of the Offensive Lineman Pretty Boy Club led by President Mark Schlereth.
He'll be a decent TV guy.

I wonder if the 'Skins have Mike "Fatass" Williams penciled in as their RT now. :)
My guess is that Jeremy Bridges gets the week 1 start. Stephon Heyer is another possibility, but he's just not very good. I doubt Mike Williams makes the 54 man roster - of course, even though I know better, I still dream of him realizing the potential he once had - maybe as a guard?

he probably would make a better guard, 360 is just too big to be playing OT

I thought Bridges was a guard.

He turned 33 on Jan. 28

That means he's about to enter his prime.

OLmen don't enter their prime playing years until 40. He's a pup.

:bang2:

He has started at both guard and tackle. I don't know that much about him, but I do know we signed him hoping he could play RT for us.

We've really struggled in short yardage situations the last two years. If there's anyway he can make the gameday roster, it would be great to have him play in our jumbo package, so we could have dockery, samuels, and williams next to each other.

I'd bet my money on Heyer getting the starting job.

You must not have seen much of him play the past couple of years. :laugh2: I am saddened by him getting cut, because I love how frustrating he has been for skins fans. I live in DC and most of my friends are skins fans, so unless we play at the same time, we watch both teams. He is a liability and huge injury risk. I wouldn't want him for league minimum.

I could not agree more or said it better. This guy is soft as charmin and can not stay healthy. I wish he was still on the Skins going up agaist Ware or Spencer around the outside. Please Jerry, do not let him even come to Dallas on vacation.

Jansen Heading Home To Play For Lions
Posted by Aaron Wilson on May 29, 2009, 7:00 p.m.

Hours after veteran offensive tackle Jon Jansen was cut by the Washington Commanders, he has reached a verbal agreement with the Detroit Lions, according to Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit Free-Press.

Per the report, the deal won’t become official until the former University of Michigan lineman passes a physical set for Monday.

Jansen is a Michigan native who played for the Commanders for the past nine seasons.

Drafted in the second round in 1999, Jansen started 123 games for the NFC East franchise.

UPDATE: According to Adam Caplan of Scout.com, who’s also reporting that Jansen has agreed to terms, Jansen is expected to sign a veteran minimum one-year contract worth $845,000

He supposedly has signed at least as of this morning per NFL Network. I don't know nor care about his contract. I just hope the Skins are relatively weak on the OL this year. I'm sick of Portis's running.
