Commanders Draft Pick Was Missing

Zorn said that apparently he thought that his roommate would wake him up or something. Sounds like B.S. to me. I think there were questions about his commitment at USC too. Hopefully this is a one-time deal.

USC guys in recent years seem to be all about the NFL lifestyle, but dont want to put in the work to be a top level NFL player.

These guys have all the talent in the world, most of them are 5 or 4 star recruits coming out of HS....and they play in a pro style system at USC.....but they seem to enjoy the off field festivities a bit more than the on field ones.

Reggie Hairpie seems to be one of the few who seems truly dedicated to being a football player first, even if he hasn't been as successful as he was hyped to be.

all college students like to party.

Do they like to party like Tyler Hansborough?

he prob. just figured, that JC deep passes were just as likely to end up in the Hotel as on the field,, so why bother going to the field.

Commanders draft pick Davis a no-show at practice

ASHBURN, Va. -- Washington Commanders second-round draft pick Fred Davis did not show up for minicamp practice Sunday, prompting the team to send security officials to find the tight end.

"Everybody was scouring," coach Jim Zorn said after practice. "Nobody heard from him, so there was one of two scenarios. Either there was some real trouble and we needed to find him, or he screwed up. I haven't even got to talk to him yet. I know he has been found. I believe it is more in the 'I screwed up' category."

The team was expected to give more details on Davis' absence later Sunday.

Davis was the 48th overall pick out of Southern California in last weekend's draft. He and the other rookies were staying in a local hotel during the three-day minicamp that ended Sunday.

Not surpisingly, it was the lead story on the local sports news tonight.

I feel you're hope, but the kid who skips the first day of class typically is a no-show a time or two again in the future. ;)

Unless his roommate is a tight end hoping to take his roster spot, I don't buy that scenario either.

Maybe just the guys recruited by Pete Caroll. I think all those guys were recruited by Paul Hackett. Maybe not Tatupu. Not that I agree that all USC guys are bums or anything.

By the way Fargas does suck. In 5 years he has rushed for 2025 yards and 6 TDs. That would get you run out of Dallas and many other places. He did gain 1009 yards last year and 4 TDs last year. Good, but nothing special.

1 good year + 4 sucky years = sucks. :D Plus he is really a Michigan guy, so he definitly sucks.

I wouldn't show up either if I was drafted by the Commanders.

Yeah, I mean there's like no chance of winning a playoff game for a whole decade...oh wait!
