This from a Commander's season ticket holder of 30 years on another Board. For those of you who have season tickets at the new stadium, do we do any of this?

Well, I've had it. Last night there were five fights in my section alone and it took security ten minutes to get there. Ushers were nowhere to be found and it was a free for all for seats. Hell, you didn't even need a ticket. It was like sit anywhere you'd like. But this is just the culmination of the decline of Fed-Ex.

1. They used to use dead air time in the stadium to show Commanders highlights, pump up the fans, cheerleaders, now every single break is a commercial.

2. Outside vendors used to be allowed to sell pretzels, peanuts, etc at reduced prices as a benefit to the fans. They have now been banned from the grounds of Fed Ex Field.

3. Parking at the stadium under the current owner has been raised from $10 to $20 to $25 to $35 and going to $45 next year. (By the way, parking revenues are not shared and average parking in the NFL is $18.)

4. Hard to believe but when Snyder learned some fans were parking for free at Landover Mall he prohibited foot traffic into the stadium via a public road. After 3 years, it took legislation by the county to overturn it.

5. The most loyal, longest tenured fans of the team all sit together in a kind of Hall of Fame for fans in a prime seating spot. Snyder added two new rows directly in front of them for " friends."

6. Before Snyder ran the stadium there used to be an area for the kids called the NFL experience. Kids could kick a field goal, catch a pass under a goal post. No revenue was generated from this and the area was soon paved over for corporate hospitality tents.

7. There used to be a standing room area at either end of the stadium at the end zone bars on the lower concourse kind of like what the Cowboys have now. It was fun, a good view and a great place to gather and socialize with fellow fans. To maximize revenue these sections were taken out and replaced with stadium seats.

8. Under the previous owner, money didn't allow you to move ahead of other fans of the team. Now people move up the season ticket waiting list ahead of others by buying into things like the Tailgate Club for $1500.

9. Existing season ticket holders are offered extra season tickets in their section before offering to any new people on the waiting list.

10. At one point the current owner charged fans $10 to watch the team's regular season practice sessions, but alas, Snyder had to discontinue it. Oh not because the fans were outraged. Opposing teams went to scout the Commanders. The team lost 2 out of the first three games that year and didn’t finish with a winning record.

11. And last but not least, the current owner installed obstructed view seating in the stadium and sold the tickets at full price.

#10 goes beyond just plain dumb. I mean what opposing team would not pay the $10 and scout them. How dumb can Snyder be? Snyder was given opposing teams a $10 scouting report and they didn't even have to use spygate to do it. I betcha the Pats would love that.

I am no fan of Dan Snyder but I think a lot of these criticisms are silly. The man is running a business and I will not fault him for doing what he can to maximize profits. If I owned a football team and had a patch of land that was generating no revenue, and 5 corporation offered me $3 million each annually to put tents there, then I would take the money. And so would Jerry. And so would 30 other owners in the NFL. Every single stadium in the country has commercials all over the place and almost every team has club seats where anyone can pay an arm and a leg to bump the waiting list.

Cowboys fans are the last ones who should be condemning other owners for being greedy, after the way we were treated by being forced to buy permanent-seat-licenses-that-expire-in-29-years at the ridiculous prices over the past year.

Danny boy may be an ***, but he is also a businessman. There are very few that would turn down the sponsorship from corporations. JerryWorld is not exactly cheap trip.

Some owners don't even sell the naming rights to their stadiums, let alone have two different official car companies.
Because they are not very good businessmen or more likely the return on investment by corporations is not there.

Forced to buy huh? Twist the **** out of your arm did he? :lmao2:

Texas Stadium has PSL's as well. Quit your whining, it's unbecoming.

I bought them of my own free will and volition, but that doesn't mean I can't (or won't) ***** and moan on a regular basis. Especially when my whole point is that Daniel Snyder is hardly doing anything that the vast majority of owners also do.

I guess I have to say it again since you couldn't understand the first time: Cowboys fans are the last people who should be condemning any other owner for being a money-grubbing ***** - and I say that as someone who is a Cowboys fan. What Jerry Jones did was unprecedented. No single other team in the NFL charged a PSL fee that actually expires at a specified future point in time.

I sat 8 rows from the field in Texas Stadium for about 10 years without ever paying a PSL fee.
