Commanders Fans Staging a Home-Game Walkout Against the Cowboys

So this should be like a home game with more Cowboy fans at the stadium than Commander fans

The T.J. Duckett trade was one of my all time favorites. Everybody outside of the D.C. area started laughing the second it happened.

I don't know, I think they may have a case. And yes, I suddenly do feel a little better about Jerry.

:laugh1: :laugh1:

Post of the day, that list is amazing.
Yeah, Snyder deserves a walk out, but maybe I'm missing something, but how does it hit him in the wallet? They will have already paid to get in. They're throwing money away.

Right. To make a statement, they have to refuse to buy tickets in the first place.

I'll show you, I'll give you money and walk away with no product.

Sounds like they're premeditating an excuse to leave at halftime.

Considering concession sales, it will definately hit him in the wallet if the Commander fans walk out after the National Anthem.

I don't know the concession prices for beer, soda, hotdogs, etc, but I would imagine it will amount to quite a bit of lost revenue.

As for not buying the tickets, the season ticket holders that want to retain their seats really don't have that option.

Commanders fans know that a walkout won't hit Snyder in the pocketbook.

It's what the walkout would STAND FOR. Namely the running of the franchise to the ground by Snyder and his minions.

Personally, I like the way it's going. If only the disease would spread north to Philly and NY as well.

That, to me, would be the ultimate level of BS from a so called fan.

I understand being frusturated. I understand wanting things to change and your team to do better. i don't understand, never have and never will, walking out on your team because things aren't all sunshine and rainbows. Those people who do that aren't fans.

If that happens it just goes to show you how pathetic that particular group of Commanders 'fans' really are.

I disagree. I can't blame them. Although doing this to get snyder to sell the team is stupid. He's not going to do it. But if enough fans revolt, they can get him to hire a real gm. And I think this is what its really about for the fans in the end. They want a new gm. Someone with some football sense. I can't fault them. I don't think its an indictment of their fanhood at all.

How after paying your money to see the game, does walking out hurt Snyder?

I'm going to be home on leave when that game is being played at FedEx. I just might go, if this is the case. I would love to be there...especially if the Cowboys don't go in there and stink it up like in 2007 when I went.

Well he would lose some money on concessions, but that's about it. The negative publicity it would cause would be extremely painful to an egomaniac like Snyder.

It wouldn't surprise me to see him order the parking lot cleared if they walk out. lol

The really good news is that Snyder is young enough to be around as owner for another 30 years.

Let THAT sink in Commander fans!!

it would be great if they'd walk out and let Cowboy fans have their seats

Right.

Don't underestimate the embarrassment factor. If this works and the Commanders fans walk out en mass, it would be a humiliation for Snyder to watch while he is sitting there in his luxury box.

I figured, but he can console himself with the reality that those tickets cost way more than the junk these people would have filled their gaping maws with. It's far enough in the future see if the news of it alone makes any difference to his ego. I'm interested to see his reaction to this.

6. Snyder making a profit off of 9-11 themed Commanders merchandise
.

I don't remember this one. Does anyone have the story on this?

One other thing that wasn't on your list that I found very distasteful was him laying off 20 employees or something saying that they had to make cutbacks because of the economy, then in the next week, they gave Haynesworth a 100million dollar contract. I just thought that was as tasteless as it comes.

Or maybe he's just downright evil. ;) :D

Dumb idea. A Facebook revolt? Ridiculous.

All Alan Pohoryles has are internet pledges from internet 'protestors'. How many of these 'protestors' are actual ticket buyers?

Protesting isn't a lost art. It's very simple involving masses of people.

First, you organize actual FLESH and BLOOD bodies together into one place. You go door-to-door. You hand out flyers out at street corners. You tell your story to the media and ask for people to band together for a march or a sit-in or a picket.

It's not really hard to do if you're committed. You'll end up finding others just as committed as yourself, but going to Facebook for real, tangible public support?

If going to an NFL game was a free event, sure, but it isn't. Mr. Pohoryles hopes that 20,000 Facebook surfers will turn out to be paying Commanders fans who will get up and walk out on cue. Good luck. It would have been more intelligent to ask 20,000 real, shelling-out-the-green, paying Commanders fans to gather in the FedEx Field parking lot with picket signs saying, "Dan Synder Sucks!!!"

Which will carry more weigh:

A couple of seconds of the camera's sweeping the crowd between plays early in the fourth quarter and some sporadic comedic commentary for the rest of the game followed by some a day or so worth of SportsCenter highlights?

OR

The pregame, halftime and postgame coverage show along with dedicated SportsCenter interviews with protestors in the parking lot and weeks of media debate during the playoffs?

That's no contest in my book. Of course, they could go out and purchase a billboard.

Wouldn't surprise me if he ordered the Stadium doors locked at halftime so no one could leave.
