I don't mind this approach. Yes, there are some young guys who are just waiting to prove themselves and might get it done. But I don't trust this front office to pick the right young guy. I'd rather see the Joneses take a former head coach who did made his bones as a defensive coach enough to earn a HC job somewhere. Of course, that doesn't limit us to Zimmer and Rivera. There are at least a couple others out there who qualify, but I'm not sure there is interest (either on our side or theirs, or both).
I agree with the trust issue and the front office.

With how bad against good teams during the regular season and how horrible the secondary looked against the Packers during the wildcard playoff loss, no adjustments whatsoever at halftime, I'm glad Whitt is gone and followed Dan Quinn out of here.
I agree! Now if they could just get rid of Prescott.

Since Whitt claimed being DC in Dallas was his dream job we have to conclude that Jerry did not show much interest in keeping Whitt as DC. I think it is clear Jerry will hire Rivera, Zimmer, or "Wink". Since the rumor about Rivera popped first, I am assuming he will be our new DC, if he wants the job.

Good. He was part of the problem
whether that's true or not the problem here is and I think most fans would agree why would you want to keep any resemblance any bread crumbs from a defense that just fell apart in the last two years the last two halves of the year they just don't look good in that Green Bay game no matter how much you wanna blame the offense and the rest of the team which all played bad the defense was absolutely horrible...

. So nothing against these coaches that left I mean I appreciate what Dan Quinn did if you're gonna make a change and you say you're all in you cannot go back with the same defensive scheme... You gotta hope the next guy can figure out what the few pieces we can add in the offseason and come up with a plan and we all know it particularly maybe two guys free agency and the draft concentrate on linebackers and defensive line...

We'll probably have to cut bait with a couple of those hybrid safety linebackers and elevate a few more... But for sure now I have them playing nickel and dime which seemingly looks like our base package...

no we dont.
Know what, I think you may be right. Im not so sure we wanna keep Harris. In fact, I think Jerry already have a pretty good idea who they are hiring. I think its always been Zimmer. I feel the search has been them doing it for optics. Now, I would love to be wrong.

You are not factoring in the fact that if we do poorly this year and MM gets fired we will promote the DC to HC and be stuck with Zimmer or Rivera at HC
