Commanders: How does it feel?

The Packers upset the Falcons on the road without their top three RBs and 3 of their top 4 WRs. I don't see why the skins should blame the loss on missing a DT and safety. But hey... maybe Sean Taylor and that DT have just that much more impact on a game than a pro bowl caliber RB and WR in Ahman and Javon, plus their backups.

Anyway, not trying to start something. I just don't like losses being blamed on injuries when clearly both the skins and bucs have their own injury problems to deal with.

Our offense gave them 14 points...we turned it over on our own 5 yard line. Also another one in our territory...Our offense might have put up okay stats but we turn the ball over too much.

Because he is a DT...not many people know about that position. Doesn't get very many sacks but he gets good pressure.

and if Sean played for Dallas you wouldn't be saying this garbage.

Actually he doesn't get good pressure. The Skins are horrible at pressuring the QB and it shows in their complete inability to create turnovers to anyone except Quarterbacks playing their first NFL game.

As for the Taylor comment I certainly don't agree. I can't remember a single Cowboy in recent history that is as completely lacking in intelect as Sean Taylor. His reported (7 or 9) in the wonderlic score is worse than anyone I can bring to mind on the team. I'm sure someone here can correct me if I'm wrong, but I seriously doubt it. Now don't just dismiss that score as one low stat in an otherwise gleaming combine. That is a really, really, bad stat. That's the equivalent of Benching well, doing good in the 3 cones, and then running an 8 second 40 yard dash. A sub 10 score, according to test administers, is not even qualified to work in Garbage Collection. He's a liability when on the field, and even if he wore the star I'd want him out of the league.

He gets no media attention so i do not see how he is overrated. When Sean is out there QB's dont even pass it near him unless they are WIDE open. So you think if Sean was out there instead of Pierson Preilou, that Simms would have done nearly as good? I think you are just too blind and stubburn to see the truth.
He didn't seem so intimidating against reggie brown last week...

Enough with the revisionist history. It's embarrasing.

Fact: both defenses sucked today. The Skins did not deserve to win that game today. Neither did the Bucs. Problem is that someone has to win and the Bucs were the ones who did. Lucky call or not, I'm sure you could probably go to any play and make a case that it changed the momentum of the game. Maybe a holding call that wasn't caught, a PI with a flag not thrown, anything to blame the game on the refs except for the simple fact that the defense could not stop the opponent.

If any Skins fans want to play Adobe Photoshop, I suggest you find a picture of the scoreboard and replace 'Washington' under 36 and 'Tampa Bay' under 35.

The Bucs also turned it over at the 5. Those two plays cancel out 7 points from each side. It goes both ways.

How does it feel to have a game completely won, only to have your heart ripped out and lose in the closing seconds?

Suck it Washington :)

Skins fans don't seem to be real happy this evening... seems they have issues with the refs...

Gee, THAT'S hardly ever happened before... of course, no mention of how the refs gave them a gift TD on that kickoff return by Betts, when he took like 3 steps on the sideline... not NEAR the sideline, ON the sideline... I would have sworn that was out of bounds... :D

Look at the replays again buddy. His foot never crosses over the big white line....

Bad calls happen every game, that's a given. And that's not what pisses me off. It's that a bad call directly affected the outcome of the game.

But as it's been said before, it shouldn't have came down to that. If you put up 35 against the number one defense and you have a top 10 defense up against a 20 something ranked offense with an inexperienced QB, you should win the game...

Seems your top 10 defense ain't really all that... seems this is the second time in 3 games they've given up 36... seems they're allowing an average of 24.7 points per game over their last six games (after opening the season 3-0, and allowing just half that many points)...

A big reason for that, of course, is the utter lack of anything resembling a pass rush... 14 sacks in 9 games projects out to 25 sacks for the entire season... the Boys are currently on pace for 48...

In addition, the highly regarded run defense, which led the league allowing 3.1 yards per carry last year, is now 16th in the league, allowing 4.1 ypc... they're also tied for 24th in the NFL with 11 rushing TDs allowed... at that pace, they'll give up 20 rushing TDs this year... the Cowboys have allowed 2 rushing TDs this year, on pace to allow 4...

Bottom line, the way they're playing right now, they stand very little chance of being a top 10 defense at season's end...

Astounding!
Your grasp of the obvious is simply amazing silverbear...

Would that your ability to grasp the point was equally amazing...

You were the one talking about how good that "top 10" defense is, if you recognized their ranking was a sham why did you go down that road??

Ummm....when? Not once did I talk about how good our defense was. Thanks for playing though.

I simply stated that we have (or had) a top 10 defense and that it was going up against a 20 something ranked offense. We should have had some kind of advantage against such a inferior offense.

Division standings.

Hope your still here after our 2nd meeting, but considering your just a troll, I doubt it.

14 out of 16 is nothing to be ashamed of.

Which is a de facto claim that said defense is good...

And of course, that defense got torched by an eminently mediocre (at best) offense...

HH, your obsession with Commanders hate is just unfounded.

We are talking current, Commanders are 1-0
We are talking playoffs, 2-0
Streak ? Well, the Commanders were pitiful. But the streak has been broken with a win.

We are talking smack ? Well we both have plenty of options.

I told you guys weeks ago that the Commanders D was not as good as people claimed it to be.

I told you guys that this would be one of those old school seasons, where every NFCE team beats up on each other.

good luck beating the skins at home...especially after needing a pass by mcnabb complete with bows and a christmas card to beat those 'scary' eagles.

will you be here? we shall see.

The funny thing is, where were you before your fluke win against us? You just a troll who doesn't have enough confidence in his team to smack it up in the game week. Hope your ready to fall out of the division race soon.
