Just posing for debate, obviously every one of us never want to see our team lose...

but if we do happen to lose to Detroit it will likely keep Washington out of the playoffs because it will guarantee Detroit at least a WC spot with the division title still hinging on the Det-GB matchup next week.
If we beat Detroit, Detroit HAS to beat GB (which I suspect is unlikely) while Wash will have to beat a NYG with NOTHING to play for (and likely to rest some folks) in DC.

Personally, I would MUCH rather see Detroit in the playoffs than Wash but can't stomach the thought of us losing.

So what do you guys think? Feels like tanking to Detroit would help us in the playoffs

I don't really care about the Skins, if they do happen to sneak into the playoffs they are one and done. They are not going to go on the road to Lambeau or Seattle in the first round and win, just not happening.

So don't worry, we will not be seeing the Skins come Divisional round.

Their most likely matchup is against Seattle in Seattle for the wild card round. Good luck with that one lol.

Wait Seattle is good now all of a sudden? Washington can beat Seattle I thought that was kind of obvious. Seattle is the most overrated team I've ever seen.
I think the safety injuries are a huge hit for them. Great players on the backend allows a lot more high-risk, high-reward up front.

Every season, the Super Bowl contending test is beating any and all opponents leading up to the title game. Two teams will prove their worth. Ten teams won't. Regardless, FDR uttered famous words appropriate for fan anxiety.

There is a crazy scenario where the Commanders don't make the playoffs. If the Cowboys beat the Lions, the Commanders beat the Giants, and then the Packers and Lions tie Sunday Night, the Commanders don't make the playoffs. Unlikely? Yes.

There are no "easy" games in the playoffs, no matter who the opponent, so I don't care who gets in or doesn't. Cowboys will just focus on themselves and prepare to be sharp.
