From the Las Vegas Times
Story: Las Vegas Oddmakers favor Commanders 2-1 Favorites as returning offseason paper champions.

For half of the NFL the second half of the 2009 NFL season is just about to begin. The fans of those teams can hardly wait till next week to see if their team moves on eager to see what January brings them.

For the Washington Commanders fans the 2009 season was over months ago. For Commanders fans TODAY is the first day of the 2010 season. This means today is the first day to defend their "Paper Champion Title" which they have proudly owned for the past ten years. For Commanders fans the January-September Paper Champions has just begun. For the next 9 months you will hear nothing but how Jason Campbell is better then Tony Romo and how Mike Shannahan is going to turn Campbell into the next John Elway. As predicted last year they will once again sweep the Dallas Cowboys and the rest of the NFC for the offseason crown.

Once again when it comes to offseason championships the Washington Commanders are unbeatable. As 16 other teams begin their trek to become the 2009 Superbowl Champions, the Washinton Commanders look to defend the Offseason Paper Championship Trophy.

For what it's worth, there are only 12 teams in the playoffs, not 16.

I know a Commanders fan who is also an Eagles fan too. He claims it's because Michael Vick was the greatest Hokie in history according to him.

I believe that.

1) Vick was the greatest VT player in history

2) It really sucked that day Vick went to the Iggles. Cheer for the man on the field, not the damn Iggles

What could be more degrading than having the fans of a once hated rival now taking pity on you?

Official Offseason Championship Trophy

Still more than what currently resides in the Eagles' trophy case.
