'SKINS SAY NO GO ON T.O.

In the wake of reports suggesting that the Washington Commanders are now the favorites to land receiver Terrell Owens, we decided to go straight to the source and ask whether the reports are accurate.


Commanders Senior Vice President Karl Swanson told us that it's not going to happen. "We think Terrell is an exceptional talent, however, we do not see him as a fit with the Commanders," Swanson said Wednesday night.


There have you it, folks. An official statement that the Commanders are not -- and will not be -- in the mix for Owens.


This development, if acknowledged by the media generally, could throw a bucket of cold water on the smoldering stew of rumors suddenly linking Owens to multiple suitors.


With that said, someone is sure to sign him. The only question is how much he'll get paid, and whether the Eagles will get anything in trade.

I just don't think anyone trades for him or gets him off waivers with that 7 mil roster bonus coming due. And remember he isnt happy with his present contract anyway. He wants even more money. And I further think after the mess he has created in Philly and San Fran that he will get signed but not for anything close to what he thinks he will get unless its a short term deal for a couple years. Isnt he like 32 now? And he wants a 40 to 50 mill deal probably stretching out over 5 to 7 years with HUGE upfront bonus?

You gotta be hoping you get maybe two to three max years out of him. And any contract needs to be structured that way.

I think you've responded to your own question! Listen, TO is clearly one of the Best receivers out there in the NFL! Can he be contained ...Yes! Can he break clear More than he can be contained ...you'd better believe it!
