Commanders sign Chase Daniel QB

I just think he's too small and lacks the arm, but he's a winner.

The Colt fanatics are going to go nuts.

not really. The guy wasnt even drafted, and Colt has a year in the league, being coached up by zorn. If he even makes the team, it'll be on the practice squad.

How much would it suck to be a lifelong Cowboys fan and have to choose between our QB group and theirs for your only chance to make an NFL roster?

I think I'd still choose the Cowboys.

It's hilarious that Skins fans on ExtremeSkins are bashing our draft, considering how pathetic theirs was. One good player is all they got. They don't even consider Roy Williams part of our draft class. Considering we gave up this year's 1st and a 3rd, he IS part of our class. Hell, they gave away their 2nd round pick for a guy that isn't even on their team now. Skins fans should NEVER bash any other team for their drafts. They're the worst drafting team in history.

He fits what Zorn likes to do pretty well, so this should be interesting to see if he can at least make the practice squad.

Well, last I check one good player is better then none. And yes I am including Williams in that.

On top of the fact that the skins really are not a bad drafting team overall; they just give too many of their picks away.

Since 2004: Landry, Horton, Rodgers, Sean Taylor, Cooley, Macintosh, Campbell have all become/were starters. Thomas/Davis/Kelly from last year should make an impact this year, though its too early to tell. We haven't had too many of what I'd call "busts". Sure, we have later round picks who haven't done anything, but every team does. This years draft wasn't very good, IMO. Orakpo could be a stud, and I love the pick. Barnes in the 3rd could be good value for a nickel CB. The rest remains to be seen.

Chase Daniel's tweet gets him in hot water

KMOV Tv in St. Louis reports it's no surprise that everyone from players to commentators were using Twitter, sending out short message tweets during the NFL draft this weekend. Sunday night, those tweets actually started making news and for Chase Daniel - an unexpected headache.

Former Mizzou quarterbacks Chase Daniel and Chase Patton were firing off tweets, keeping their followers posted on post-draft developments.

Chase Patton was online in Seattle where he revealed through his Twitter feed that Chicago was showing interest in his services.

Chase Daniel broke the news and sparked a rukus when he tweeted from his home in Texas, "Hearing Commanders possibly! Who knows! Free agent might be better!!"

An hour later he tweeted, "Washington Commanders it is!"

Moments later a broadcaster in Washington, D. C. fired back (that sounds better than tweeted back) charging that Daniel preferred free agency over playing for the Commanders.

In a twitter tirade that followed - Daniel made the case that he was excited to play in Washington, that a deal was in the works before the draft ended and his tweet really meant that a free agency deal with Washington would be better than getting picked in the seventh round of the draft.

The broadcaster wasn't buying Daniel's story and tweeted back a challenge for Daniel to come on his radio show and set the record straight. Stay tuned.

Remember your post this coming winter when Williams puts up 1,300 yards and 10-12 TDs. I certainly will remember it.

Good for them. Now they have 1 dumb QB with a rocket arm and 2 smart ones with noodles for arms. I think they're set now!:laugh2:

1300 yards...and 10-12 TDs? I'll bet you he doesn't have 900 yards...

As long as we're not talking about a stupid amount of money, or anything like that, I'll take that bet.

And I think Daniels is a better QB then Colt. Colt is a friggen joke and I can't believe there are any Skins fans who actually like him.

He's only been over 900 yards once in six years. He's also missed 26 games over those six years - 21 in the last 3 years. I don't know, that's not a bet I would take as a Cowboys fan.

I happen to think his chances of producing more in Dallas are greatly increased over what he could do on a piss poor Lions team.

But that might just be me.

Hardly the first of us to have our tweet get us in hot water.
