I remember well what Joe Gibbs did for the Commanders in the 80s & 90s. He was brilliant, for the most part.

These days, I am hardpressed to find a worse gameday coach. His mismanagement of timeouts, and general situation stuff is downright pathetic.

Gibbs called consecutive timeouts to ice the kicker...you can't do that. personal fould 15 yards.

A 51 yard kick became a 36 yard kick.

discipline as I mentioned would be a must; they did not have it. Of course having a senile coach does not help. When you are trying to run out the clock, you take a time out. OK.

Gibbs called TO to ice the kicker at the last minute. He made it, but the TO was called. They line up again and Gibbs calls another TO. You can't call back to back TO's to ice the kicker. It is unsportsmanlike conduct and a 15 yard penalty. Turned a 51 yard game winner into a 36 yarder, which the Bills made...

For those not watching, Gibbs called time out to ice the kicker on a 51 yards attempt which Lindell nailed anyway. When they lined up to kick it again, Washington called another time out. 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Lindell then hit a much easier 36 yarder.

Oh right they are missing a safety and have been for weeks and that excuses the offense.

I know there has been a fair amount of Commander love here this week for obvious reasons but I know I let out a good laugh at Gibbs and a cheer when the winning kick went through.

Commanders are 3-7 since their 2-0 start. Looks good on them.
