Gary is going to be a great fit here. Yes, he's a seven sack type player, but that does not reflect the amount of pressure he consistently gets. And he sets the edge against the run, something that was a massive issue with this defense last season.

On top of that, he's going to be an excellent mentor for Ezeiruaku too. If the Cowboys manage to add another pass rusher, be it via trade or early in the draft, this could be a very underrated unit.

Maybe he can get to Sam Williams as well have this room of guys ready to go to work!
 
This move has grown on me over the past couple of days. GO back and watch what happened after MP went down, this guy was still doing his thang but just didn't close the deal on the sacks but the pressures were there.

That's one thing I hope Dixon helps to fix we pressure, but struggle to bring the QB down, if we can take him down without him avoiding us so often we will be good

He's basically a D-Law type player. A dude that makes winning plays every game.

We need to keep stacking guys like this, and the defense can bounce back. Lots more work to do.
 
That’s encouraging he said he doesn’t want to be a Micah Parsons. So we don’t have to worry about him taking a nap during a game.

Hes far better than D Law and D Law was a very productive player. Not splashy, but consistent and productive.

Think DL and not DE.

Its pretty clear that they want the front 3 to be bigger. Hence getting rid of Osa and Thomas.

Williams, Clark and OO are our front three. And we need more there. IE the draft.

Eze and Gary will be our OLB.

That will also be our 5-2 look.

We need more picks in the draft. Getting a DL and ILB are critical. Adding CB and Safety are next. Ideally we maneuver ourselves down in the draft that nets us an additional 2 or 3 day two picks to go with our 2 day 1s.

If we pull that off and make solid picks, this defense could turn itself into a mid level group. Which would be a huge improvement.

The cherry on top would be ditching Pickens for a first. Dump that albatross of a contract and draft his replacement on the cheap. Then use all that cap savings to sign the missing couple of pieces once camp cutdowns happen.

Jerry and his boy aren't smart enough to pull off a Pickens trade.
