Hard to believe it's already been 8 years since he last played. Some of those games seem like yesterday and they're from a decade or more ago. Where did it go?

Very well done.

The guy had the fire.

I loved when they said he would walk up to all the players stretching and say "Who is going to outwork me today?"

What a player!

I'm glad I recorded it.

Who can forget Irvin on his knees on the soggy turf at Candlestick after Deion's interference non-call? That was a classic scene.

As for Irvin's reputation for off-season partying, I will never forget attending a charity golf outing Emmitt had in Pensacola, FL a month after our first SB win over the Bills. A lot of Cowboy players were there, but everyone was wondering where Irvin was since he was supposed to be there but was a no-show. I had to leave early, so after the golfers teed off I walked back to my car which was parked at the end of a long street leading to the clubhouse. As I got to the end of the street, a rental Lincoln Town Car pulled up to the stop sign. I looked at the driver and he looked at me. It was the Playmaker. He nodded, then zoomed off. I just smiled, thinking to myself..."I wonder where he's been?"

a man like that comes around once in a lifetime.....and to think he wore a star......
ya know ya it bothered me a bit back in the day when we found out about his whoring around and drug charges...but you know we love him for the player he is or was....he is human and he is not perfect by all means....he still should of been on the first year ballot to the hall of fame....so should about ten other cowboys....sickening how they are not even mentioned.

not to steal any thunder away from mikey but look at T.O ...besides the media berading him ,he really has no of field problems...seriously....take away the media....no drug offenses,no ******....no killings.....

I know....that non call still bugs me. If the ref makes the right call there, it's a 3 point game with 5:30 left in the 4th. I really liked the chances at that point. They couldn't stop Emmitt in the second half....

I know Prime Time and Mike have to joke about it, but Deion mugged him and there was no call....

I missed the first half of the show, but stayed up to watch the repeat airing at 11. Some of the scenes they showed got me as pumped up as when I saw them when they originally happened. :starspin

One story for the back rooms---when they trained at St. Eds, one day he was making a big stink about one of his sb rings getting stolen, turns out there were a couple of "professional entertainers" from sugars in the room the night the ring disappeared, case disappeared about that fast, yes it was different then. anybody remember the first year in Austin one of the boys missed curfew and was speeding back to dorms, the cops caught him speeding, he went in the wrong way of a parking garage and as Homer says dou!! it was the police garage on Red River, miss the days--remember Jimmy had this drill where biggest guy took on littlest guy in a one on one, think it was Nate Newton against a corner--pretty funny to watch..
