Another year, another talent show. This one starts with a rant. Here is a tip, if you are in an auditorium for - say - a hypothetical talent show, and an act comes on that you don't want to stay for, too bad. Sit your dumb *** down and listen, you had ample opportunity to leave between acts. You don't need to be a discourteous ******* and get up in the middle of someone singing, you can wait the 4 minutes for them to finish since you were too stupid to get up and leave in the downtime between acts. I was apparently raised very differently than a lot of kids today, because I would never have gotten up and left. Why? Because it's rude to everyone who actually wants to see. Who knows, maybe the guy you are walking in front of happens to be trying to record his daughter singing in a manner you couldn't manage in your wildest dreams. It's not that hard to wait for a whole three and a half minutes to leave.
On a completely unrelated note, my daughter sang the Latin version of Ave Maria in the high school talent show tonight and was (in my completely unbiased opinion) phenomenal. She gets better every year.
